“Foxleap, I’m sorry!” Cinderheart cried, running after the orange tabby tom. “I…I never meant to hurt you. Well, I didn’t care, but…now I know what it’s like. Lionblaze hurt ME. He left me faster than a Windclan cat can run and then tried to kill you! I don’t know why I ever loved him.”
Foxleap turned. “I don’t think you ever did,” he mewed harshly.
Cinderheart paused, one paw lifted in the air. “What do you mean?” she gasped.
“You’re just like Berrynose,” he sneered. “The only cat you love is yourself. Why else did you cheat on both me and Lionblaze?”
Cinderheart stared at him in dismay.
“And now you HONESTLY think I’m going to take you back after you took advantage of my feelings and then spread rumors about me?” Foxleap went on furiously. “And it’s obvious I’ll always be second-best to LIONBLAZE. You begged HIM to take you back first! I guess I’m just a last resort.”
“Foxleap, it’s not like that at all…” The desperation was fading out of Cinderheart’s eyes to be replaced by a look of surly defeat. She couldn’t hide her selfishness anymore, her desperation to make herself happy with a mate. ‘But I can’t spend the rest of my life alone!’ she thought.
“What about our kits?” she asked, making a last effort to win him over. “We should raise them as a team! It was wrong of me to give them up. They need a mother. A REAL mother.”
“OUR KITS?” Foxleap spun around and stalked up to the gray tabby she-cat until he was nose-to-nose with her.
“You don’t care anything ABOUT our kits!” he spat angrily into her face. “You told Icecloud you thought they were just balls of dirt and squeaky voices. Why should you care now? And my sister was ten times the mother to them that YOU ever where. Maybe that’s why Lionblaze ended up with her in the end. Maybe that’s why she’s expecting his kits.”
Cinderheart visibly winced.”But I love you!” she wailed unconvincingly. “I didn’t then, but I do now.”
Foxleap gave her a wry smile and made one last comment before turning and stalking away into the bushes.
“You’re good at hooking up, but you suck at love.”

YES, another contest prize done! Pretty quick, don’tcha think? Just one more gais, and I will be DONE! DONE DONE DONE! Then I can move on to more important things Like…actually drawing things I want to draw! Not that I mind doing the prizes…after all, it’s my obligation as the contest hoster person and I owe it to the winners. But still…I’ll be glad to get all these prizes out of the way
This one is another prize for 1st-place winner *kirakats101 , who requested Foxleap shunning Cinderheart. I kind of made it into fanart from her winning fanfiction, A Thousand Years [link] In the fanfic, Foxleap and Cinderheart have a one-night stand but Foxleap thinks she seriously wants a relationship and he gets super pissed when he finds out she’s “cheating” on him with Lionblaze. Cinderheart dumps him the night after their one-night stand, but she is already pregnant with his kits. When she gives birth, Lionblaze knows right away that they’re not his, and breaks up with Cinderheart. After abandoning the kits and letting Icecloud and Foxleap raise them, Cinderheart tries to get back with Lionblaze by making up some bull about Foxleap raping her. Doesn’t work though, since Lionblaze is crushing on Icecloud by then and knows Cinderheart is dishonest.
After the story, I imagine that Cinderheart would be pretty desperate for a mate, so as a last resort she tried to get Foxleap to take her back as a part of her if-I-can’t-have-Lionblaze-I’ll-just-take-second-best-which-is-Foxleap train of thought (mind was blow. when you realized the train of thought actually looks like a train 8O). That’s what’s going down here! But, of course, Foxleap refuses because Cinderheart is a total bitch who cares more about herself than anyone else and wants a mate to make herself happy, not her mate. So he rejects her like a baws And yep, I wrote a fanfiction about it on a whim. I couldn’t help myself! It’s been forever since I wrote warriors fanfiction Kind of an epilogue to A Thousand Years…hope Kira’s not mad at me for adding onto her awesome fanfiction
So I’ll admit, I was always kind of fascinated by the idea of FoxXCinder. My most hated female character (except for maybe Dovewing) and my most loved male character…a couple? I felt bad for Foxleap in the story too, since he seemed to have a genuine crush on Cinderheart but she just wanted to get into his pants XD Anyway, I DON’T ship the couple but the idea of them having a brief romance and then breaking up is fine with me. And they have kits in the fanfiction too…Basilkit and Vixenkit! And they are SO CUTE Not anything like their bitchy mom lol.
Well I had a lot of fun with this picture The cats’ poses were pretty easy to draw, so I got the lineart done pretty fast. I decided to use an older color scheme of mine for Foxleap instead of my newer one…more flame-colored tabby than dark-orange-and-red tabby. So like this [link] instead of this [link] I really like the way his colors came out! I always give him green eyes because he looks sexy with them This time I added white to the end of his tail and made it all bushy to get the point across that yes, this is Foxleap, not Lionblaze or Firestar or anything. As for Cinderheart’s coloring…well, I started coloring her in and then I was like WHOOPS I’m using dark gray instead of medium gray! Well, maybe I can experiment and color her fur dark gray and her stripes medium gray instead of the other way around! And experiment I did. It doesn’t look as cool as I thought it would But still looks pretty cool, I think! Maybe a different stripe design would’ve looked better. Lol I love their expressions in this, Cinderheart is all like “Whine whine pweeeeeease take me back so I can haz mate like Starclan wants!” and Foxleap is all like “GUUUU AWEH OR I SHALL SLAP YEW MANEH TIMES ACROSS DA FACE WITH MAH BIG POOFY FOX TAIL, YARRRRR!” while rolling his eyes.
As for the background…I used another one of those fancy digital ones from Zoo Tycoon! Like the one I used here: [link] It’s kinda sad…I don’t really have time to play the game anymore, so I gotta use it for somethin’! Luckily, I have four “zoos” that are just replicas of the clan lake territories that I made that I didn’t put any animals in or anything. I’ve never had cause to use them for anything until I realized I could go down into the environment, take some pictures while low to the ground, and use them for backgrounds for my pictures by downloading the photos onto HTML. All I had to do was make the cats had a see-throughj background and them slap them on there W00T! I chose the best screenshot—one with a beautiful view of the forest canopy and some lichen and flowers in the background—and scaled the cats and BOOM done! Is that cool or what??? Great thing to do when I’m too lazy to draw a background of my own XD I was going to do a digital background for the last picture too, but…I’d already done one for my other TigerxDove picture and it seemed cheap to do it twice on the same couple. Anyway, I FREAKING LOVE THESE DIGITAL BACKGROUNDS!!!!11!!
But enough of my bragging. Even I get sick of it! , congrats on winning first place and I hope you like this picture! And my crappy epilogue to your story! Sorry for taking so long on your prizes…I will get the last one done ASAP, although that might not be for a while because January is going to be hectic for me
