The best Míriel thus far! And yay for the silvery fair - I've thought that's where Celegorm inherited his "fair" hair. But, I've read MR and I've never noticed that part, even though I know it's somewhere there. So.... which chapter? I'd be most grateful!

Thanks
It's not clear whether Tolkien intended Celegorm to have fair (as in blond) hair, because he previously makes reference to gleaming hair, what could be the reason for his hair to be described as "fair" (i.e. beautiful). I personally think Celegorm's hair was dark. But, of course, there is no definite word on that and some people prefer a blond Celegorm
You can find her full description on Ch.6 -"Of the Silmarils and the Darkening of Valinor".

Love it. So happy to see her with silver hair. Do we get a Celebrian soon? Don't see enough of her around...

I don't think I will be doing Celebrian any time soon, I must focus on the illustration project at hand and Galadriel's daughter is not part of it. I'm afraid it will have to wait

Oh, she is so lovely... and I'm very happy to see that some people still go by the HoMe description. Good luck with your project, too.

Preciosa Con 4 trazos has conseguido más profundidad que mucha gente que necesita de mil artificios para hacer lo mismo. Me gusta eso, la profundida de su mirada. Es un """"simple"""" dibujo, pero transmite muchisimo

I think she's lovely! This is one of the best pictures of Miriel I've ever seen!
Had no idea that her hair was silver.

Thanks
A lot of people assume Míriel had dark hair because the Noldor were usually dark-haired, but since Tolkien mentioned (Morgoth's Ring) she had silver hair, and no other text says otherwise, I think it's safe to assume a silver-haired Míriel is right

Too delicate compared with my vision, but wise and beautiful. Nice hair decoration

I hate the watermark over her face. Why don't you put your own - less distracting but pointing to your gallery even more efficiently?

Well, imho it sounds like she looked quite delicate here:
"Miriel was the name of his mother. Her hair was like silver; and she was slender as a white flower in the grass. Soft
and sweet was her voice, and she sang as she worked, like rippling water, in music without words. For her hands were more skilled to make things fine and delicate than any other hands even among the Noldor. (...)"

Thanks for the feedback, anyway

Where is this quotation from? Sounds lovely and fits your vision
I see her as 'sharp' and swift - not only talking fast but also moving, walking, getting irritated with slowlyyyy people (more choleric character than phlegmatic ). Of course it was her character, but can't remove it from her face in my head.

It's from Morgoth's Ring.

I understand what you mean, and it makes sense that you want to show those traits of her personality through her face. However, I prefer to go for the delicate look in contrast with her demanding and sometimes impatient and strict behaviour.

To me it definitely is, but of course people can think otherwise

You go by HoME's description of her huh? Well to each their own. Personally I've always seen her as being dark like Feanor but thats just me. Lovely facial features in any case.

Yes, I used the description on MR as base for my face study
