Still trying to get my own backgrounds done...with more or less success.Anyway, this is a scene of a lake I tried my hands on with Carrara7.
If you are working with Poser/Carrara and are interested in any of the textures/items that have been used in this render, drop me a note...

Very nice render, I see that you use Carrara, what do you think about Vue?

I worked with Vue 4.1 ages ago, and while I liked it with producing nice nature images, I absolutely hated how it bogged down my system then.
Today I have a better system, and was able to get me that free version of Vue 7, and I still don't like how it grabs hold of my system while rendering
So, all in all I guess I belong to the Carrara fraction

I know what you talk about exactly. I've made a mini render farm using five quad core CPUs, it was quite better but still slow though I remember I've rendered a twenty seconds animation under 20 hours. Worst part was flickering!
So is Carrara faster?

There is something i can't define that make the scene feel artificial... I think maybe is the texture of the water near the dock...
But the work as a good overall looking! I like it!
