Way way back in 2001, I got the opportunity of a lifetime - I got to spend 3 months at Wolf Park in Battle Ground, IN. These are some of the images taken by their professional staff photographer, Monty Sloan (of Wolfphotography.com ) of me when I was only 19 years old. I got my session with Orca (fondly known as Orca Bork), my favorite wolf to visit. You wouldn't be able to tell from the pictures, but he'd actually been paralyzed from the waist down, and had regained most of the movement of his back legs. But he was never able to recover fully, and so couldn't visit any of the other wolves - so he was extra happy to get some human visitors!!
