Description watch gears bought on Etsy, smashed into a band of sterling silver, soldered in to stay put, sawed around edges to give it the lumpy look, then bent around and soldered together.

About 3 hours.

its a really cool idea, and i find people tend to like stuff more when it has an exoticy name (found art versus crap i nailed together) and clockwork mokume sounds decidedly post modern. even my fiance, who usually recoils in horror when i say the words "metal work" really likes this.

heh.

well thanks :] I plan to do a few more things like this when I get more parts.. maybe more rings and perhaps some earrings or something.

Right now I'm working on a locket with magnifying lenses in the front like windows, so whatever's inside looks bigger.
