Perhaps the greatest investment he's ever made (and hard won)- Hena bought Sasha right before he entered Hogwarts as his plus 1. She was quite the frightful snakelet, but he was persistent in his care and adoration of her. Now at 6 years old and having been exposed to various people, as well as been turned into a goblet or two, Sasha’s relatively indifferent when it comes to her surroundings and it’s hard to tell when she's even awake. Most times she's kept in her habitat as she's accustomed to the warmth- but in general a very passive presence, though has a slight aversion to young people and their not-so-gently groping.

Cedar Wood; owners harbor strength in character, unusual loyalty as well as perspicacity and perception. They are not people to be crossed, especially if harm is done to those they are fond. Well matched owners carry the potential to be frightening adversaries, which often comes as a shock to those who have thoughtlessly challenged them.
Unicorn Hair; is not the most powerful of cores but produce the most consistent magic, and is least subject to fluctuations and blockages. Quite compatible with Charms, Transfiguration and is hands-down the best core for healing, as it picks up some of the healing capabilities of unicorn blood.
Rigid Flexibility; only give their complete loyalty to an owner who has faced great personal tragedy. It is particularly good for practical magic use, and thus usually doesn't perform well for magic that is frivolous or silly. Owners tend to be cautious and have difficulty trusting others, but they are not usually unkind people. Generally, they prefer to be left alone so that they can do what they want to do, regardless of what anyone else says.

Hena is a carefully layered individual with a seemingly gentle and passive presence, who dawns a constantly cheeky smile. He’s very proper in both speech and mannerisms when uncomfortable or untrusting of his surroundings, which is most always, and is a naturally subtle addition amongst crowds. Though this ought not be confused with shyness, as he is very capable of holding his own with quite concise and clear opinions and beliefs when he wants to, but he does better to learn from listening to others rather than exerting hisself into every discussion or situation.
Discretion is key, to most all he does. An innate trait that allows him admittance into varying social structures (so he thinks) and makes it easier for him to wander into relations with others. His general charm is not all that unique- still he is notably a well read and bred individual.
Despite his mind being on constant resource hunting mode, he can be surprisingly easy to talk to under the right circumstances. Though his forward sense of speech and knack for brash or mean-spirited comments is an understandable turn off to some- he is neither sorry for it nor does it make him a particularly unkind individual- capable of genuine sympathy for others thanks to his rather charitable upbringing (though this also means he regards himself with a somewhat superior senses).
Still, it is not his favorite asset, nor is it used as a means to truly help another through their grievances if it’s not worth his time. Instead, primarily as a oar in conversation, a useful instrument in playing to individuals tunes in hopes of pleasant favors.
Patient in his pursuit to success and general praise, Hena has never let himself get stressed over sudden obstacles- taking his time to study problems and gradually chip away at them until they whether. He is of rational mindset, and does well to not get ahead of himself when he is consciously unsure where he stands in a situation. Nor does he participate in things simply for the ‘helluv-it’- every move he makes is done through careful calculation, as he is not one for surprises.
A rather clannish individual, Hena has, for a long time reserved the majority of his attention and affection for his housemates above all (even if he has to force himself). To them and whatever friends he’s managed to make over the years, he is more open and offers warmth as silent thanks (or plea) for their general acceptance. He is dependant on their support as they have been his primary home/family for many years, and does his best to make himself reliable and comfortable company, thus he’s very loyal to most all of them- never mind his occasionally snarky quips on certain days.
Above all, you may never meet a more petty and easily offended person in your life- as the child takes a great deal of pride in hisself, his achievements, even the bonds he’s created with others, and is quick to defend them by usually the lowest means necessarily- favoring public humiliation and ridicule if he can manage it discreetly (So mind your morning cereal if you manage to cross him).
[History]
tl;dr: Comes from privileged home and has tended to live quite peacefully because of it- but recently half his immediate family has gotten themselves stuck in Sweden, where borders have closed and life is less easy. With little to no communication it's maddening to imagine what's going on but he puts on a brave face all the same....most of the time o)~(
Childhood
Born to Sara Reis, Head of her family and her second husband Micki Davies a medi-wizard at Saint Mungos, Hena lived a particularly lavish lifestyle filled with amorous attention and grossly undeserved affection. Be it the families nouveau riche-like status in the wizarding world or the fact that he would not be it’s heir, there were little to no pressures or expectations exerted on the child. Instead he was carefully shielded from their faults and regarded as a breath of fresh air, being the first child in a long time born out of love rather than the stronghold to some faux union. Even by his elder brother, who was the lesser fortunate but fond presence in Henas life.
His parents were a balanced pair, his father being a brash yet hardworking and down to earth young man, while his mother was an incredibly carefree person who was uninterested in, but dutiful to handling the responsibilities that lay in her lap- given her position.
Hena spent much of his time with the latter, and recalls how, when left to her own devices, the woman liked to indulge in her new found ‘hobby’ of philanthropy. She’d take her sons to places she enjoyed visiting during her childhood- to offer up money and shelter to smaller wizarding communities and rising schools- feeling compelled to help her brethren as the world grew darker over time.
Despite his constant presence, Hena was never truly apart of this regime, and cared very little for it. His young mind preferring their outings to be filled with more adventure (and personal attention), and viewed his mothers antics as rather boring ‘errands’ that took away from such a thing.
Through travelling the boys grew to be quite cultured at the very least; well read, well mannered (to an extent) and generally respectful children- as their mother prized a delicate sense of understanding of their surroundings as well as the varying types of people around them in hopes to avoid raising ignorant children. Even so, she remained quite passive herself of the youngests underlying behavior- owing to why he’s not all that good at being ‘Gentile’ to those he doesn’t respect (ie everyone else).
By the time Hena was 11, his brother was already midway through Hogwarts and he himself had started showing (belated, but not concerningly so as even his brother was a late bloomer) signs of growing magic. The child was very excited when his invitation came and dubbed him ready to attend Hogwarts, as he was just about ready to leave home to learn and practice magic with other children.
Life at Hogwarts
His sorting was seamless, as the hat saw, almost immediately his silent desire to make his own way in the world through careful influence, and decided that the Slytherin house would be best equipped to aid him in such endeavors and hopefully teach him much more.
His first few years at Hogwarts were quite…tricky.
Though he had mingled with people in his childhood, he had never had to co-exist with so many different strangers before (the cute excitement of getting to know them dying down quite fast) making the stay a bit overwhelming at times, and he in turn found it difficult to obtain the proper relationships he was yearning for. To cope with this, he narrowed his peer pool down to that of mostly his housemates, who came from similar, if not familiar backgrounds and ideals- and reserves most of his energy and attention for them, acting a bit indifferent towards the rest (unless of course, they were feebs. Feebs were always incredibly handy).
In recent years, the tension in the north had put an uneasy and steady strain on the family, prompting his mother to open their doors to family members and distant friends to come and stay as their own areas grew hostile.
Incidentals and current predicament
One day, after a particularly nasty OWLs prep assessment, Hena was quickly singled out and taken outside to receive some rather unfortunate and grim news. Though word had traveled some days prior of the borders closing in Scandinavian countries- Hena considered it little more than a pity, but was not entirely surprised by the turn of events. Unbeknownst to him however, that was around the time his mother would be visiting Sweden for a quick family meeting, and were inevitably stuck there with no ways of communicating thus far.
He was made to pack his bags at once and head home, where his family, having harbored quiet but slow growing concern and disapproval of their Heads ‘careless ways’, broke their silence and expressed their underlying resentment for her prior actions and quickly began clamored for their Elders approval and rights to the title themselves.
Furious with their slander and lack of respect (in his own house no less!!), Hena decided to step up and asserted himself, for once- into family affairs, and petitioned himself for the position- which he has every right and equal, if not favorable, chances to- given how his mother had been hand picked by their Elder during her time. A choice that He has sternly announced He stands beside to this day, and looks on curiously at what the child might have learned in his time under her.
There is no rush for a new Head given the circumstances, and his family, being the fickle sort, protested weakly at his this turn of events- but quickly turned their attention towards the growing child all the same in hopes of gaining his favor for future use.
Now he’s back, just in time for the new term, and working hard as ever in both his studies as well as social networking to make sure that whenever his time comes- there will be no doubt in his superiority. And that he’ll have everything (and everyone) he’ll need to hopefully straighten their crooked ways and be granted the opportunity to be taught under his Elder as the Heads before him.
Muggles vs Wizards
Surprisingly his general thoughts have not changed regarding muggle-kind, mostly due to several of his own family being muggles- and no threat at all. Their fear is justifiable, but this does not mean he approves of prior actions or doesn’t view them with distrust all the same.
Their world is inferior to theirs in many ways, but their fuss is incredibly inconvenient these days.
If there’s a fight to be had, of course he sides with his Wizarding counterparts- but he is not much of a fighter in spirit and would much prefer an alternative- like wiping their memories clean.

Family History
Hena was born the second son of the current Head of Reis- a family with growing popularity but narrowly skilled wizards.
What wealth they have is relatively new, and was built upon the back of a sole (now Elder) wizards commitment to a skill with hopes of refining it to become his family's treasure and key for future stability.
Legilimency- an intricate art many wizards have tended to admire and seek.
A skill that the few residing members have been thoroughly taught and trained through (though it should be noted that only 1 has been naturally gifted...some 100 years ago), and for awhile it made them self sustaining and ahead of society, as they kept their teaching very private. The future members however, were the sort who instead, sought out predominantly influential people- offering their skills as a service in return for a pretty penny or favorable union (which often ended in their favor- guilty of suspicious spousal deaths which entitles them to quick riches). Their ability to detect foul play, disloyalty and the occasional trading of insightful secrets proved itself a powerful asset to a certain kind of people, thus attributing itself to their steady climb into socialite status within the northern countries.
Only in recent generation have few relocated and settled into western Europe, originally seeking some distance from their exploitative cousins. They could never escape their name and eventually, a new Head was selected amongst them by the Elder, both because he believed that their more humble hearts and mindsets would be able to set his family on a better path- and to ensure the knowledge he’d bestowed upon them of the art did not slip outside the family and his peripheral.
First it was Henas grandfather, but he refused the position, disgusted by what he’d witnessed of their greed- so his sole daughter offered herself instead, and was taught personally by the Elder to utilize both legilimency and occlumency alike (though mastery would be a continuous learning process- she is still well respected for what she has managed to acquire at the time).
Though not of political mindset, the woman did marry a rising political figure in the English ministry during her early years- though the union was platonic and made to help his slow descending family name more than hers. The pair bore a single son together, but the marriage was not meant to last as eventually she would wander and seek to wed the person she truly loved.
Both the marriage and divorce were tidy matters and well before Henas time.
With her and her eldest son now MIA, her ex-husband has graciously become more involved in family affairs, putting his political agenda to the side for a minute. He too shares Henas contempt for his greasy extended family- but not being blood, he has little say in their matters. Instead acting as a bit of an informant and advisor to Hena until he’s of proper age and mind to make his own decisions.
His father though stoically wracked with sorrow, is in total disapproval of any involvement Hena may have with the lot. They’re at difficult odds at this time....

- Fathers idea to name him Hena, Mother came up with the alternative Jamie because she knew that it’s quite difficult to pronounce [ ه] with a Scottish/English accent
- Arab roots come from his mother, who is only ¼ Austrian herself while the rest is Morrocan. His father is British through and through however-
- Speaks English fluently but German is a close second, as his extended family speaks little else.
- As of now he refusing to believe that his mother and brother are gone (they were so close, he’s almost convinced he would /feel/ it if that were the case).
- Self-taught ambidextrous but naturally a righty
- For app purposes i drew his hair out (bc so funn) but usually keeps it tied back for practical purposes.
- Comes from quite the short family, so there is a chance that this height is where it ends....
- The blotch on his face is just a birthmark and it's never really bothered him but he'll promptly flip you off if you tell him he has 'something on his face'.
- The type of person who can sleep on any surface and in any position, at any given time and come out well rested.
- Frequent resident of the boat house- It's incredibly calming and he likes to talk at the squid/lake creatures or just...aloud sometimes.
- Though apart of the school Orchestra for some time now, Hena cannot read sheet music- something he's been able to hide for a bit of time by being exceptionally good at repeating and improvising (or feigning headache when asked to read something). He can however, compose quite decent melodies on his own, but without being able to write it down in any form makes him liable to forgetting. A frustrating quirk he ought to remedy, if not for the fact that he's too prideful to admit the truth.
- Other hobbies include charming inatimate paper objects to fly or do battle- (depending on his mood) as well as fencing ! It's one of his favorite sports- though he hasn't competed in nearly 4 years...he really misses it!
- Only recently educated himself on gender identities and thus has found that Demiboy/guy suits him best. Identity subject to evolve as he does
- Best Classes: Most of the ‘boring’ classes like History of Magic, Theory of Magic, Arithmancy and Muggle studies but also Herbology
- Worst Class: Defence Against the Dark Arts and Potions to an incredibly frightening degree- Partially because he’s fascinated by his failures, at other times it’s just a lack of attention.
- Boggart: Velociraptors as portrayed in Jurassic Park (and to this day, he's yet to find anything 'funny' about them.)
