As a child, Andreas had always presented a keen perception when it came to incidents that surrounded him, highly sensitive to others emotions and quick to mirror them without much thought. It wasn’t until he grew older that his habit became much more prominent in the ways he pays peculiarly attention to those close to him, using intense observation as his method of getting to know someone. Going so far as to even fabricating minor changes to surroundings in order to witness how others react to them and show him the emotions he hopes to see, without paying mind to its immoral nature.
Andreas had begun to enjoy this form of living through sensations which, coupled with his bubbly personality, leads him to alter the perception of others surroundings to portray his own feelings. Making colors a little more vivid or dulling his immediate surroundings and appearance when it suits him, often disregarding whether others mind or not. However when he cannot fully ‘capture his audience’ with illusions Andreas falls into bouts of frantic confusion and fear. but also a sense of allurement towards the individual, taking time out to study them in hopes of finding ways to succeed next time, viewing it all as a challenging obstacle.
A free-spirit, Andreas turns his nose at obligations that require him to take orders or be tied down and only claims himself loyal to a handful of people, remaining unpredictable to the rest. His views are consciously vague, allowing him to easily flip-flop between what suits him best regardless of tradition. Because of this he rarely passes judgement on others, always wavering in grey area and rating situations on a personal scale of how much said person's actions affected him, and then deciding if it's worth taking action.
Despite his tricky pretense, Andreas generally harbours a great deal of affection towards others, wanting to see people in states of bliss where he can contribute, and likewise absorb. Though if one were to dissect this attribute, they may peg it as his way of distracting himself from his fear that one day he will lose control of his mind, and intends to savor the best of feelings least they be projected against his conscious will.
[History]
Pretense:
Over 100 years ago there was a man who did well running away from his sins, never bothering to look back at his personal destruction and never truly wiping the blood off his hands to repent. Instead he kept to his old ways and covered everything up in endless spurts of illusions to keep the heat off of himself, later taking refuge in the arms of an unsuspecting woman who was a lot more easy to manipulate into his plans for a more stable future, and thus ran off with the her to her homeland Estraude, in an attempt to fully turn his back on his past.
But with this woman he devoted much of himself into, he’d have to take responsibility for and adhere to some of her needs as well, one in particular of wanting to start a family. Though the man was never a tender one, he relented rather indifferently, and together they gave life to three credible children.
Andreas' Story:
Andreas was the first born son and considered the sunshine-y type of child. Curious, capricious and jolly throughout most of his childhood, and even at the bridge of adulthood. His sunny demeanor was a stark contrast to his fathers, which would have been a rift in its own, if not for him being the only child to display talent in magic as well, specifically in the form of his craftsmanship. His father, already knowing his sons free spirit couldn't be tamed in a schooling environment, felt obligated to teach him himself, creating their own father-son bond that was equally as sturdy as most others. Through him, the boy learned to be very articulate with his forms of illusions, never settling for anything less than realistic and appreciate the beauty and how to harness these skills for others to see. He learned to be crafty and take pleasure in the way he could freely manipulate simple things like light to turn something mundane into something people could appreciate despite it's lack in physical nature.
However their life wasn’t meant to be so quiet, and it slowly untangled before them starting with the mother's sudden ‘disappearance’. Her fate remains unknown to this day, but she is mourned as deceased, condemning them to a very troubling future as the woman was what kept the family in total harmony, and with her unknown fate- they were left to crumble each in their own way. Though seemingly unaffected by her departure, Andreas was hard at work on his own project. Practicing hard daily to remember and recreate warm memories to briefly animate for his siblings, making sure that he could remind them vividly of her presence so that never forget or feel unloved or alone, just as he made sure never to lose sight of that.
Beside him, his father was subtly losing his way- growing suspicious of the world outside of his realm of control and cast a shroud of protection over his children. One which they easily submitted to.
The reality was that their father had never learned to live with or forget his past life, only burying it in the back of his mind. The unexplained loss of someone so dear to him put a heavy burden on his already deeply twisted mind. This caused him to develop a personal belief that his past had caught up with him, and had taken his wife in acts of vengeance. With his mind slowly slipping from him, his memories did the same- unraveling before his children's eyes in small pieces and few times in their sleep, where they would witness remnant of the deeds he’d done, exposing his deepest secrets.
Soon after, Andreas desperately attempted to reach out and seek help from the outside world, albeit reluctantly- weighing the pros and cons of it all. Still unable to shake the deep implanted ideals of their father, the siblings managed. While he was kept safe and sent away to be treated in a rehabilitation center, the siblings moving away and on to create lives of their own.
20(+) years later; Andreas had made a life for himself in Belport, where he utilized his abilities to help constructing infrastructures as he had the capacity to know a building inside out and recreate its fundamental image with ease- simply redrawing blueprints and guiding the more crafty of individuals to do the work. But the world became war-ridden much too quickly and he was driven out of his home all too soon.
Now seeking refuge with the rest of the Belporters, Andreas resides in Cantor- recuperating and remaining tethered to a few of his peers he has left, helping by designing proper infrastructures that will hopefully house them and enjoying the peace for just a little longer.

Father || MIA (presumably Linhythe)
An elf born into a life of poverty and crime in Linhythe and suffered great physical and emotional yet controversially ‘well deserved’ punishment for his deeds. He took refuge in Estraude when he found someone who was easy enough to manipulate into believing and seeing only the more pleasant sides of himself. He began to suffer from early onset dementia, long before his wife passed, and was sent to be treated in Amedra when his children were in their mid 30’s but has since escaped after the Koben invasion- his whereabouts are currently unknown.Half-Sister || Deceased
His fathers first child, a half elf who was born and died over a hundred years ago. Her descendants still thrive, now currently residing in southern Bratkowice where they've settled for the past 7 generations.
Andreas has no personal connection to any of them but his sister keeps better track of such things and whispers what she can.
He often wonders what she may have been like though, and finds a bit of comfort in the fact that despite her death, pieces of her really do live on.Sister || Miras

The youngest and perhaps the most spared. Too young to remember or understand what had happened to his father or recall what had been done to him, though sometimes mistakes his fathers illusions as memories of his own. Grew attached to Linhythe for reasons unknown to him, and doesn't approve of either of his siblings way of life. The last they’d heard from him, he was in Song-Lu but he hasn’t reached out for a few years now.

Hair is naturally Rustic Brown and eyes are a slight amber, but he likes to cover that with illusions too
When he draws, he sees things in the form of simple patterns and shapes, thus making his illustrations very technical and particular. Freeform art for the simple point of beauty is difficult concept for him to grasp
