PERSONALITY

Vasileios can come across as rather intimidating at first. He's very put-together in his appearance, and he seems to always be rather unpredictable. However, in actuality, he can be a bit more of an oddball than anything else. His snobby and cold demeanour melts away quite easily with any kind of prolonged interaction. He's brutally honest, which can lead to both good and bad interactions. Some people don't enjoy his transparency, but others seem to appreciate it since it often leaves little room for secrets and misunderstandings. He's typically very smooth and articulate in his wording, and can even come across as quite the charmer. As a matter of fact, he's a bit of a romantic! Vasileios, when comfortable with people, will never shy away from expressing physical or verbal affection. He loves to compliment others and express his appreciation for them that way. He's a very passionate feline and is entirely driven by that. He feels more than he thinks, which is both a vice and a virtue.

HISTORY

Vasileios isn't entirely open about his early past, it's one of the very few things he tends to keep close to his chest. His father left the picture before he was born, and his mother, Cora, was very much not ready to raise a child on her own. She wasn't an incredibly responsible cat, and kept her relationship with her son closer to a friendship than that of a mother & child. Vasileois could never come to her for anything other than surface-level needs, things that were easily solved. But he loved Cora very much, and so even now he refuses to paint her as anything other than the perfect mother, despite her shortcomings.

Cora lived her life however she pleased, with little regard for herself and others. By the time Vasileios was a young adult, Cora got into some trouble and, to Vasi's great grief, she didn't return home one day. The funeral was short and sweet, and Vasileios went home and picked up the pieces of him and his mother's life.

Things went okay for a bit, and Vasileios kept things... functional, at least. But he felt lonely, lacking in purpose. He felt no passion for life there. There was no real reason for him to keep this small home running anymore if he was the only person in it. And so, finally letting go of the need to pick up Cora's messes, he left home. He looked at different opportunities in the city for a bit, seeing if anything really clicked with him. But he wasn't successful. Eventually he decided that that was nothing for him in the city. He left.

Travelling through the wilderness on his own was... interesting. He wasn't one for that sort of life, and he found himself craving the company of other felines once more. He found little success with his fellow rogues, to his displeasure, and even less success in firmly establishing a way of life in the wilderness. But eventually he stumbled upon and old childhood friend, Euryale, who had very recently escaped the city. The two of them decided to travel together, and eventually stumbled into the Stone Empire. Joining was not as simple as they would have liked, but after some discussion and time, they were able to join and gain the trust of those around them.
