Description Portrait of Gracie's littermate Sophie at 8 wks old. Sophie is a blue merle like my Gracie. I plan on doing portraits of all the puppies in this litter. Scanner is just not picking up the lightest shading in the white areas. Borders are actually equal on top and bottom, but my scanner bed is only 8.5" wide and I hate pasting scans together so it is what it is

Colored Pencil on 9x12 Strathmore Bristol Vellum paper.

Adorable! I think the coloring of the blue merle is gorgeous.

Thanks Carol. The blue merles work really well for colored pencil subjects I have one halfway finished of Gracie, but will need to wait until my is better before I attempt to finish it.

Thanks! Sophie is very cute and I had fun doing that portrait. Now I'm contemplating doing one of Gracie, but can't decide to do one of her just sitting there looking cute or being a little stinker - LOL!
