Hi, this style of gown was worn in Venice roughly from the 1550's up through the 1580's with some variants on style, accessories and fabric. Mine is based on several paintings from around the 1570.

Is the ropa new?

The ropa/zimarra isn't 100% new. I made it sometime ago and it sat unhemmed for a time, then it finally got hemmed and worn once before, but I never got around to getting any photos of it other then ones on the dress form.
