Thank you, I'm so glad to hear that I don't use the smudge tool very often, and if I do I only tend to use it on certain areas to a small extent. I find overdoing the smudging removes some of the rougher strokes which help give the horses a more realistic look

Thank you, I'm glad you like it ♥ Yes, I always use photographs as reference for my drawings, and as often as I can I try to use my own photos instead of stock. that way, I know for sure that I can use them in commissions, prints and off-site I've currently got over 10,000 photos of horses of all sorts of breeds, colours, ages and stances, so most of the time I can find something suitable. If not, I still try to use the base pose or colours from my own photos and only briefly reference other's photos.

It have such wonderful feeling that it was hand painted by traditional tools. I nearly see how the brush strokes horse's belly and neck I have no idea why, but I love his white socks They are so cute!

I always enjoyed these beautiful, glass like background you used to use for your paintings, but this one with matte grass and texture is also very pretty. Difficult to say if it's better but I do very like it too
