Xelotaph here is one of three Eldritch Abominations from the game Eternal Darkness, where based on which of three symbols in the first level you chose, the entire game would shift both plot and enemy types to match. Chu'Turgha (A combination of a lobster and a worm) was about physical might, crushing you with brute force, so his minions could regrow lost limbs and hurt like a son of a bitch.
Ulyaoth (A magic jellyfish) was all about arcane might, and admitably is the best for new players since your MP recharges naturally, while your health and sanity do not.
Xelotaph is in my opinion one of the harder modes, as while many of her minions are easy to put down (Her zombies have bandages like a mummy and go done by burning), she instead aimed for your sanity, where the game REALLY started to fuck with you, from making you think your volume has been adjusted to faking you out that your save data is being deleted! It's a great Gamecube title.
