Sparkyyy's February 13th Speed-paint Landscape Challenge [link]Sick today, couldn't get focused on my own work so I did another speed paint challenge. Did this with a 99.7 degrees temperature.
I'm pleased with how this one turned out. I exaggerated the colors I saw in the image a bit. I loved the desaturated purples near the bottom left corner and made more blue strokes in the center to contrast to the yellow that was over powering at the top.
This one took me 1hr 10mins in Photoshop CS3

This turned out wonderfully! I really love the hazy/misty appearance of the clouds near the top of the mountain, it really adds to the mood of the image. You've also done a great job at rendering the mountains. So much texture! Great work. ^^

Thank you! The reference image gave me many challenges to over come and work with. I tried to emphasize the distance relation by fading the back mountains into the sky.
