He does have the best of intentions here. Β He saw her pretty beat up in a slave lineup and bought her because no one was willing to give her medical attention. Β But......she has trust issues for completely understandable reasons.

Yep. Granted, Savora was an abused slave Rover had bought, and at this time, she wasn't in a very good mood.

Yep. She'd been through a lot. Got forced to fight in the pits, escaped, and then got recaptured after being badly mauled by some guard animals, which was when Rover found her. She certainly wasn't expecting kindness.

Luckily, it was more like six months, but it was a pretty hard time for her. This scene happened after he got too close to her while she was sleeping, then she basically freaked out when he surprised her. She was too weak to do much more than lunge at him, so then she turned her back to him so he could beat her, thinking he'd surely punish her for that outburst.
Oh, and this happened a bit later in the RP with another character of mine and Flyspur.Β

Yep. It took her quite a while to believe that he didn't actually want her as a slave. (Buying and freeing slaves isn't even legal in their universe.)
Klate and his pirate crew boarded Rover's ship due to thinking it was a ship from the enemy planets. They realized their mistake, but also realized Rover's ship had enough foreign tech on it to basically decide the fate of the war, so Klate didn't leave the ship since he wanted the tech, but more than that, wanted to make sure to keep the tech out of the enemy's hands.
This led to Flyspur trying to get the ship back by knocking Klate's crew out with sleeping gas. Klate saw Flyspur and tried to grab him off the ceiling and accidentally cut him.Β

Oh my goodness!! Yikes! Well, I'm sure the Doc will fix him up, hopefully without too much consequence. But I hope things are settled between Klate and the Nellie-Bell crew too.

It was tense for a while, but after Rover realized Flyspur was going to be okay, they started getting along since the Nellie-Bell's crew realized Klate really was sorry about what happened to Flyspur, and Klate decided that Rover would be sensible enough to avoid the bad guys.Β

That's good. Haha, Rover is apt to be danger-prone, but he definitely knows better then to get involved with the bad guys or do business with them.

No kidding!! Β The poor guy got put in a zoo, got his leg chewed up, got turned into a giant 'hideous' alien, fell into a river and got tossed into an alien jail......am I missing anything?

After getting his leg sliced up, his brother left him with an alien scientist, he found out his brother hated his guts(alien brainwashing, obviously) got chewed out by his mom for not being nice to alien kids, and didn't get to be the hero who saved the lost colony.Β

Oh, yeah....and that. Β The emotional part was worse for him than the physical. Β The poor guy had been looking for them for his whole life and everyone seemed to disapprove of him. Β (not that they didn't have reason)
