I have to ask, in all of your demos I've seen, the only power tool you use is a drill. Would it be so bad to use a sabber saw or electric sander? Or can you only do it with copping saws and such?

👍: 0 ⏩: 1

chioky In reply to beldon123 [2009-08-17 00:17:01 +0000 UTC]

sure you can use them, but I dont have them, you can use them anyway lol

👍: 0 ⏩: 1

beldon123 In reply to chioky [2009-08-17 00:38:43 +0000 UTC]

Lol. I see. I was just worried that they cause problems or somthing. But that makes sense.

One more tip on sharpening the blade use a pencil to mark out how far you want the taper to go when the line disappears stop. I use 3/4" from the edge or roughly 1/2 the blade width.

👍: 0 ⏩: 1

chioky In reply to fixinman [2009-01-22 08:14:46 +0000 UTC]

I always have trouble drawing another pencil line on the actual blade XD, I have never really done that hmm..

👍: 0 ⏩: 1

fixinman In reply to chioky [2009-01-23 04:26:11 +0000 UTC]

The trick is to trace the blade on a piece of cardboard and use that as a guide. If you do it on a piece of thin plywood it is a permanent template for both cutting the blade and a sanding guide.
