Both shots are amazing - Zeus has more lightning craziness and the cloud formation looks more ominous, but I like the cascade effect on this one.

If you look to the right, DA will post camera data if it was available for the deviation... shutter 25/1, iso 400.

Well, if EXIF data here are wright it is digital, Canon EOS 50D. You asked how did he capture the lighting. The way to capture the lighting - in short - is to set long exposure (like 25seconds what is possible in digital cameras) but not too long to make an image overexposed and be just as lucky as the author of that photo

I really can't decide which I think is better either, "Zeus unleashed" has more "spindly bits" coming off of it and a higher arc, but "2min.." has a stronger central bolt and origin point. I therefore conclude that they are both equally extremely awesome!
care to share any info on your camera settings?
