some would rather have lazy ignorant ways of:
its too smallz its a catzz
like they aren't there own family.
a dog is a dog even if they don't like it.
and how dumb are they to believe that?!?!
just looks and science proves it.

Yeah, it's quite sad how society thinks bigger is better. We're greedy, even with man's best friend.

Indeed.
When I go outside i noticed that many big dogs are well-behaved and well trained, while most small dogs don't listen to their owner and are annoying.
the problem is that some people believe (wrongly) that dogs are people, or that dogs have the same intelligence humans have, so they treath them like chldren.
My uncle even allow them to sit on the chair, or even on his knees during lunch and dinner, and to eat from his same plate.

Yes and no! Β
I hate when people treat their small dogs like they are sooo helpless they can't even walk. I seriously had a guy who came to interview his dog for daycare, who held the dog in his arms the entire time, and when it was time to take the dog away for the socialization screening, he HANDED me the dog. Like.... you realize that in a doggie daycare... your dog will need to walk? On its own paws? On the ground? With other dogs? It couldn't climb stairs, was soooo shy because it hadn't been exposed to dogs its whole life, and it didn't know "sit." Small dogs are also notoriously yappy and snappy, because the owners assume that's how they are, and don't try to train them to be quiet and not bite.Β
ON THE OTHER HAND.............
I have realized by working with dogs of all sizes in a daycare setting, and owning my own small dog, that small dogs ARE different from big dogs in some ways. My dog is very yappy. When I got her, I said, "I'm a good dog trainer. I can train her to not bark. I'm not one of *those* owners with no control of their dog!" Turns out... she REALLY does have an above-average barking instinct. I can control it and make her stop, but she feels the need to bark at everything on every occasion. She barks when she's happy, excited, nervous, when there's strangers, when she wants to go out, when she wants to come back in, when she's bored, when she has line-of-sight separation anxiety, when she plays... I at least partially blame her early puppyhood socialization (I got her at 6 months, so most of her personality was set) but, I have learned, some dogs naturally bark more. It's not always size-related, but the small breeds seem to do it more.
And, as for snappiness! It's not OK if your small dog is biting people/dogs and drawing blood. That's poor socialization... BUT... I've noticed, if you put a medium-sized dog in with a great Dane or an English mastiff, they often act defensive and snappy, like small dogs are notorious for. I honestly think you get this exaggerated snappy/grumpy/defensive behavior out of small dogs so often because they are so much smaller and more fragile, they need to tell the larger dogs in no uncertain terms, "Be careful around me!" or else they could be hurt. It's intimidating to live in a world where everything is bigger than you, andΒ large dogs do the same thing when confronted with dogs larger than themselves. Β (We actually had a great Dane who is normally a great friendly player get grumpy with an English mastiff who was slightly bigger than her. She was so unaccustomed to playing with any dogs bigger or stronger than she, she couldn't handle it)
As for purse dogs-- this is bad only if you ALWAYS carry the dog, and NEVER let it walk or explore on its own four paws. I actually think it's great that you can bring your small dog anywhere with you! Small dogs can go, in purses, where bigger dogs can't, and thus they can be exposed to a wider range of social stimulus, which can make them really chill, well-rounded dogs. I used to ride public buses with my 15lb dog in her little carry-bag. Obviously, no one is going to tote around a GSD in a travel-bag, so this is another case where small dogs need not be treated the same as large dogs Β

Exactly. That's why - for example - most of the chihuahuas are so nervous and tremulous. Small dogs and big dogs - the only difference is the outer looks and power.

True that! Especially when they try to push you over, or walk in front of me as I'm going down the stairs. My cousins Boston Terrier shoved me down the stairs, and made me break my leg, and she's all. "But he's a little darling he didn't know any better!"

Probably that's why most of those small dogs are so aggresive and mean. Just like people. It you alwas theat them softly as they were a princess, they will become jerks xD

Agreed I really hate it when people have tiny little dogs in their handbags and treat them as fashion accessories and let them get away with murder. My Grandmother used to breed Chihuahuas and my god this dog was vicious, it used to attack my cousins, my sister and I on sight when we were little, but because it was a small dog it was fine... not for us it wasn't.

You mean take of puki-poo's clothes and let her painted nails touch the dirty dirty floor and eat from a bowl instead of my plate? *sarcasm overload*
I worked at a pet store for two years, and not treating your small dog, like a dog, is one of the four main reasons for having behavioral problems (this one applies mostly too small dogs although I've seen it with big dogs). I mean, for example, I love my cat, he is spoiled, but he is a cat and treated like a cat.
But obviously I agree with you, and besides that the stamp is pretty good, I like the color and the animation is at a good speed to give people time to read it (I can't stand stamps that move to fast, and I'm a fast reader o0)

Agreed! I hate how people treat small dogs as infants and allow them to get away with all kinds of crap that any bigger dog would be put down for. Bad small dog owners are the reason why I dislike most little dogs.
