Hi, sorry for the delay! Here comes the promised critique (=

It's a beautiful image, you did a nice job here! In my opinion there are a few things that could be improved, though. The general flow of the hair came out very good, no complaining here. But I think the hair itself could be more detailed - hair comes in strands, but not in blocks limited by a dark line. Here and there I had that impression of blocks of hair coming out of nowhere and being a bit too big, for example at the top of the forehead and the left part of the image I'd suggest drawing more single hair out, not just shading in blocks.
I noticed after a while that the direction of pencil shading on the skin is noticeable (it only goes from left to right), I'd suggest smoothing that out, but that may be personal style, too. What kind of bugged me was that the iris has no shading at all. Since eyes reflect lots of light, maybe giving the eye some strong highlights would look better.

And that pretty much is it, it's a beautiful drawing^^ I hope I could help you!
Take care

Hi, thanks a lot for taking time for that critique. You're right on many things. And it's interesting as for the first time I rushed on that drawing to have it finished on time for the contest (by a disappearing group, but that's another story).
About the details on hair, I didn't go too far on purpose, I wanted it more suggestive and semi-realistic than fully realistic, and on the original drawing it works pretty well from 5 feet away. About the iris, as it's in the shadow of the hair, there is no reflect at all, even on the original pic... Sure the shading could have been smoother, but chosed that time not to use any artificial blender, only the pencil. It gives that rough style for the skin at short distance. And pieces of hair coming from nowhere can bug the eye that catches it. Well, I'll try better next time, and as a STA, I go my own speed, trying to improve a bit each time. Thanks again for taking time looking at it and making opinion exchange possible. And if you're interested, I can do the same for your next drawing (or an existing one).
Take care and keep on the great work. I'll keep watching

I'm glad I could help out! If you went for rough, then the hair's wonderful this way. I still would smoothen out the skin, a bit of crosshatch can do wonders! But that would be your choice, if you like it this way you should keep it so

And I'd love to watch you too and give feedback
