From this angle, the building looks like a giant boat. Do you know if the architect had that in mind when he sketched this building?

ok, I know how to correct the perspective in gimp, but wasn't sure what to correct. I think you meant e.g. the left side of the building where the lines aren't vertical. In my opinion the pic "works" with this wideangle effect, but I try to correct it in Gimp and have a look to it.
