Description This is my Whirlwind artillery tank. I don't see many guys at the games I've played use them in combat. Which is surprising, considering how useful they can be.

Like before, the brown will eventually be worked into a bone color as I finish. The turret gunner is something special for me. I put together the paper clip on the bottom so he can hold onto the underlip of the hatch, pivot around, and be removed if taken out by enemy fire. (It works great! Even when the tank is turned upside down. )

Pitty that you painted brown on it. If you painted the brown part with some other colour you could have dried brushes the brown paint near rails making it look like he came out of a muddy area. I do that on my Eldar rangers and Dark Elf assasins and their cloaks just looks awesome .

No worries, this guy isn't finished just yet. That's just it's base coat.

Thank you for the idea though. I had been debating whether to do something like that or not for the Whirlwind's skirts. Now I think I just might do that.

Awesome job!
And I like the paperclip idea, I'll be sure to try it sometime.

Thanks!

I originally wanted to use a technique where you use leftover sprue frames to make a fixed moving copula... but it broke after I got everything together.

I threw this fix together on the fly. It surprised me when I found it worked.

I agree Whirlwinds are devastating, there troop killing monsters, and yet no one use's them, such a waste.
