Ensign Sue may be annoying, but she did save Porthos from Jonathan Archer. Anyone who saves any life from Archer can't be that bad.

Hey Simon Peg! He was great in the 2009 film. And she found Porthos! Now just take the dog but leave her on the transporter... and maybe give this another shot.

Lolz that's Porthos, Admiral Archer's dog that Scotty transported to prove his transwarp theory... before he was sent to the ice planet. Porthos was on that Star Trek show from a few years ago.

What?! Who promoted Archer to admiral?! He couldn't command wings at a KFC, and he's an admiral?!?! Good lord, and I thought the Federation was skull fucking incompetent in The Final Frontier. Hell I find it more practical, and plausible that Janeway was promoted to the rank of admiral in Insurrection. How the Federation made it to the twenty fourth century at all has to be an act of god, or the Q.

WhiteLynx57 In reply to Grusnoid [2013-06-20 02:00:56 +0000 UTC]
They don't promote him until the movie because the show ended before the movie came out. It's a universe timeline thing. It's a shame cuz the show was pretty good but they just up and decided to cut it short after two(?) seasons. I know it was back in 2005 or something. And that was wrong with Archer? He was just the new guy on the block... I don't remember Insurrection but I do remember Janeway was very capable.
First of all, (hoping not to insult you here) God is just a figment of mankind's imagination and Q was just an annoying asshole who didn't know how to take a fuckin' hint. I remember the episode he tried to make his moves on Janeway because he didn't like the Q that was set up to be married to him or something.

Enterprise was not that good. It sucked, until they reinvented the show in the third, and fourth seasons. And they reinvented due to the fact that Berman, and Braga had no clue what to do with the show. The reason Enterprise was canceled, was due to the fact that the show spun its wheels, and went nowhere for over half of it's four seasons. So yeah by the time Enterprise was finally on track, and getting good, the network had enough. The low ratings throughout the show's run was proof that the audience had enough as well, and they weren't going to watch it anymore.
Archer was at the epicenter of the incompetence storm that was Enterprise. Due to the fact that Berman, and Braga didn't know what direction to take the show in. Thus, Archer looked like a tool week in, and week out. In the episode A Night In Sickbay, he is pissed at the Kreetassans, when he brought Porthos along, and Porthos pissed on the sacred trees of the Kreetassans. He then proceeds to act like a child, as he blames the Kreetassans, for getting Porthos sick, even though they didn't know he would be bringing a dog, berates T'Pol for apologising to the Kreetassans, when he told her to, and basically just keeps bitching about a situation that is out of his control (Basically worrying that Phlox isn't doing everything that he has to, including making up a medical procedure on the fly, to save Porthos.) instead of fixing Enterprise, by agreeing to apologize to the Kreetassans. Which he bitches about, because he doesn't agree to their terms, even though he is in the wrong. And that's just one example, I could go on, but I'll stop here.
As for Janeway, she stranded her own crew, and deliberately threw opportunities to get back to earth away. She's not as great, as people remember either. Oh and I was wrong, Janeway was an admiral in Nemesis.
No offence, it was a general term. As for Q, he had his moments in TNG, and was a proponent of humanity as a whole. He stood up for the fact, that we as a species were worthy to be out in space, and we deserved to be out there. I was referring to the Q Continuum. The rest of Q's species as a whole. As for the episode you are referring to it's called The Q and The Grey. Yeah, that was a terrible episode, and It really shouldn't be used as an introduction to Q, or as an argument as to how his character was.

Uh... wow. Okay uh... I actually liked Enterprise I really wish it'd gotten more love, truly.
Lolz oh yeah the tree! And then the one where the visitors thought Porthos was food? But yeah that particular episode was kinda stupid and with loads of crap, too much overreacting. Take a breath, it's okay.
It's as they tell you, you gotta put the ship first even before the crew. And Janeway actually treated everybody well even if the whole situation was technically her fault. Nemesis... which movie was that? I don't know everything!
Ah I see. No harm done then. It doesn't matter which Q or whether you're talkin' about the whole Continuum. Great, they decided to let humans wander around and come dangerously close to messin' shit up but what part of 'mind your own fuckin' business' do they not get? If the Q are actually gods who forgot they were gods, they're the worst you'd never want. Poppin' in and out like you stinkin' own the place! Buzz off Q!

I'm just saying how it was. Enterprise was a trainwreck. If you liked it, that's great, I have nothing against you. But for everyone else, it sucked. Like I said, it spun its wheels, and you can't do that if you hope to hold a consistent audience week after week.
Nemesis was the last one before the Abrams films.
Yeah, there were a lot of stupid things they did with Q. But a lot of those episodes missed the point of Q entirely. Q was at first an enemy of humanity. He was ready to cast us out of the intergalactic community, because he saw our species as barbaric, and violent. It was only through Picard, and his crew did he learn that humanity was more than what he originally thought. Through that new understanding, Q became a defender of humanity. But you are entitled to your opinion, and I'm not going to change it. I just thought I would shed light, on some of the aspects you may have missed.

I see. Yeah they could've done better but they still did pretty good. Maybe if they'd taken a few risks? I'm not sure where they went wrong but at least the CGI and make ups were good.
... Ugh trying to remember which one that is!
Yes I remember now! He was all 'you can't wander around! You're just little fish in the big pond!' or something. We were pretty rough a few hundred years ago but now? At least Q did a 180 but it still doesn't excuse the fact he kept popping in whenever he wanted, causing trouble. But I understand your point.

The temporal cold war was a plot that went nowhere, and that was an integral part of Enterprise. Not to mention the fact that a lot of episodes, where aimless.
It's the one where Picard has a clone that the Romulans made, and Data dies in the end.

I actually thought that plot was interesting though a bit confusing at times. Whether it actually went anywhere is certainly debatable.
Oooh that one! Yeah that one made me sad. And his faulty brother replaces him? Damn trigger-happy Romulans. Those guys need a chill pill already.
