Depends on the size of the picture, but generally you should go wild with it, bigger blur is actually less noticeable (took me a while to figure that out, as it is counter intuitive)

Ok..go wild..thats easy to remember. I havent made any further attempts yet. Most of my weekend was eaten up by focusing on learning Blender. (Boss' Orders!)

Well I was on Maya during my animation degree. But Maya costs $4000 so Im migrating to Blender. I found a great tutorial. [link] if you are interested.
Also found some really cool (free) modelling software, for example, "Wings 3D" that converts an Adobe Illustrator vector file into a 3D .obj mesh. Very crafty. These past few days have been very educational for me.
