Natiq was born and trained to be vicious. Harsh lands, difficult living, and the nature of her upbringing systematically hardened her sympathy and her conscious. She has little regard for people who are not part of her tribe or immediate family since she has an extreme case of a superiority complex. It is so bad that it is her belief that people should automatically know that they are comparatively weak and inferior without her having to say so or prove it. She is very aggressive to all people who are not a part of her family tribe and will sacrifice much for the good of her people and for herself… even if they do not think so. Her attitude is so awful, obnoxious, and violent that she’s managed to make herself something of an outcast within very group of people she relies on.

Though she is rough and mean by nature she is not impenetrable. Natiq, more than anything, loves a good time. She loves to rough-house, adventure, fight, anything and everything self-indulgent. Those who she can have fun with get treated with more respect and consideration… in a way. Her energy and confidence are boundless despite her typical behavior. She is likely to go adventuring or pillaging, and perhaps drag people along for the ride.

History:

Loss was not an unfamiliar occurrence where Natiq grew up, in the harsh Silver Mountains. Her people are a band of war-like barbarians that failed to assimilate to the people of Silverlight town. They hold a treaty with the towns people but care little for the mainland. Since resources are scarce, conditions harsh, and the creatures fearsome the tribe often raids to towns carved into the mainland. The raids can be bloody affairs and it was in one such raid that Natiq and her mother lost the men of their household; an eldest brother and the father. Being without a man to win resources Natiq and her mother faced the possibility of being a drag on the tribe so an exception was made, since she was still very young, Natiq was taken by the men and elders of the tribe and, through intricate ritual and strong use of symbolism, made to be recognized as a buy in the eyes of the community. She grew up in the same way that a young man would have; continually needing to prove herself through acts of courage and feats of strength to bring honor to her family and win manhood. Still she takes pride in her biologically female self, no shame, which is mostly thanks to her mother’s influence.

Life was not easy for the young woman but she accepted each and every challenge. In her zeal she became somewhat wild and unstable, so much so to the point where her violence and attitude caused a social rift between her and her kin. It seems to be that the only person who can really stand her is her mother. She still relies on her group, and they on her, but she’s recently developed the habit of disappearing for a few days and then returning. It is unlikely that any good will come of this recently developed behavior.

Yrq (Yeh-erk)

Familiar's Personality:

Yrk practically mirrors his human counterpart as her opposite and her balance. He is the sensible part of Natiq and provides clarity and guidance to her when she is willing to listen. Unfortunately this is not often. On the whole, Yrk is a calm being and will often undermine Natiq’s actions. He is somewhat afraid of her though since she has been known to be rough in times of unfettered rage. He can take the bullying and is expected to protect and stand up for himself, it is his hope that one day Natiq will come to respect and understand things the way he sees it and possibly prevent early deaths.

Notes / Extra / Etc:

    ·        Mostur-beard (most beard) is not so much a surname as it is a nickname. She adopted the nickname form her father after ‘reaching manhood’

    ·        She sees to obsessively collect furs since the conditions of Silverlight are not favorable to her typing and collect tokens as a means of compensating to the weakness.

    ·        She does like to collect people’s personal things unfortunately.

    ·        Natiq considers herself both male and female and will occasionally demand one set of pronouns to be used over another.

    ·        She ties knives and sharp objects to the end of her hair for use in melee

    ·        The heads on her belt are of a pair of ice/fire mightyena she slew, and the fur on her back is that of a defeated ground-type beartic. These are her favorite tokens of victory.
