Description The emotion in this image is the polar opposite of how I've been feeling as of late. The last few days of my life have possibly been the hardest days of my life, and the following days, weeks, possibly even months will be especially hard to bear through. This was originally a silly little 20 minute doodle I did for ~DannyPhantomAddict not too long ago to cheer her up. I liked the picture enough to give it more life, and it also gave me an excuse to forget what I was going through, at least temporarily as I worked on it. I truly enjoyed working on this. I can't seem to remember having such a good time working on an image before. Figured I'd dust my gallery off as well and share it, since it's been quite a while since I've posted. I have many projects; they've been long unfinished since they're so large. This will probably be scrapped later, but if anyone's feeling even slightly close to how I am right now, hopefully this'll help give you a smile (:

In the mean time, I appreciate the many favs and watches I've received despite having a "quiet" gallery I'm always happy to see folks still enjoy my work, no matter how old it is

It definitely helped... btw, I was going to surprise you and call you on your birthday, but when I came home, any enthusiasm for life was sucked dry out of me, and has since been lost. I spent the entire night crying instead. I get so tried of life sometimes that I just wish it'd be over with already. Here's to surviving I suppose. I miss you too much.

Don't I know that! What I was venting about in this image is what I'm living right now, and it's awful. I'm not so sure how I'm surviving like I am, but somehow I am.

Drawing stuff that's the opposite of the emotion that you're feeling is sometimes really good. Especially if it's drawing something cute, or happy when you're in a down mood. :3

It's so true! I drew this really quick one night, and I laugh every time I see it xD I used to draw goofy art all of the time, back in my early days on dA, since I have depression and didn't want people to see that. I just wanted everyone to be able to smile when they saw my art. It's always helped drawing it as well though

Thanks! The transparency gradient was fun to do, but figuring out how to do the glow around him with that transparency was a pain I'm glad it all worked out in the end

Thanks The shading was a hard choice for this actually. I liked yellow immediately since it was just a nice fit to the background, but it almost seemed like much at first. I'm happy to hear it worked out

It was planned, from the start actually, because I wanted some sort of blue background (I like blue backgrounds. Seeing a trend here?) Yellow just seems to work well with blue, and it would help Danny pop out more, as well as give emphasis to the happy/excited emotion in the image. It just looked like too much when I started at first, but once I got the whole thing shaded it looked fine, thankfully

No, you didn't <3 I think that was my fault, confusing what I meant I meant it was always planned, but that it looked pretty bad when I started with the yellow shading, and thought about changing it to just the shows typical nondramatic shading.

Never noticed that until now XD I always notice how people seem way too happy and smiley in commercials. Maybe that even gave me the inspiration to do this? I just let the goofiest expression come to mind that I could think of xD
