The only interesting thing here is the turboshaft engine. I needed to place the reductor gear under the engine, with the final shaft running coaxial with the hollow turbine shaft. The exhaust ducts are divided in tho stages at two different levels. This seems awkward. Tilting nozzles are only for control purposes, and to aid in the vertical and fore-and-aft flight. Main lift is provided by the two, contrarrotating, two-bladed rotor disks.Related content

The Rotors span seems a bit small for how heavy I would imagine this too be with ammunition. Also for how bottom heavy it seems might make side to side flight cumbersome. I like the different design. Do you think the forward guns would rock it backward when fired?

Probably will be a nightmare to fly and combat because the singular effects. Don't worry about rotor disk diameter: there is two disks and the aid of four downward pointed nozzles to increase lift.

Is this simply an aerial gun platform? With this engine arrangement, there's not much room for cargo or rescue equipment...how are the guns operated?

Thanks for the comments. This is only a gun armed battle platform. I envisaged originally a self-contained turrets in that all ammunition is carried inside with the guns, the sighting equipment and the actuation mechanics. The turrets include a wide-angle video camera and a tele lens video camera. The gunner in charge had the image of the wide angle TV camera of each camera. When activating each one, it reverts to the zoom tele-lens camera to best sight on the target, that then can be tracked and fully identified. IR filters can be selected in night mode to detect and track targets. Maybe the space inside is not enough for the ammunition quantity needed, so there will be ammunition boxes outside each turret but inside the aircraft hull, connected to the turret by flexible chutes.
Invariably, guns are electrically operated and the cartridges electrically primed, but there is the possibility of liquid-cooled barrels if high rate of fire is selected.
