Description Samba - the most ecstatic of all ballroom dances. It's sensuality, sexuality and fun on the dancefloor. Because of these criteria I think it's important for the the audience to see the attraction between the couple. And in my opionion that's nicely expressed here.

Wow.. that's a really great shot! there is an electric air.. and all the charismatic power of the dancer seems to come from his shoulders... I really like the little blur on the girl's skirt..and the "S" created by her bottom and the bend legs..

It's okay. :]
The website links should be in my sig, they can give you the most information.

TWLOHA
Love146

TWLOHA stands for To Write Love on Her Arms. Love146 is (along with other things) a movement against child slavery/trafficking.

Wow ... child slavery is a sad subject. I wasn't expecting to get into something so deep; I thought we were talking about gay rights or something. I will check out the links.

Love-Polaroid In reply to dareme [2008-10-01 21:24:27 +0000 UTC]

I thought I did, but maybe not. I'll check it again.
*hasn't logged in forever*

It is, and it's even sadder that it's still going on. :/ I can't imagine being raised and forced to do the things those children do. Sure, maybe some of them are so young that they don't KNOW any better than how they're raised, but that doesn't make it right...

πŸ‘: 0 ⏩: 1

dareme In reply to Love-Polaroid [2008-10-03 16:41:16 +0000 UTC]

It certainly doesn't make it right, and I'm sure this sort of treatment ALWAYS has a bad influence on the child in question, no matter whether it can compare it's own life to others' or not. How could a child who doesn't experience love, care and the sunny side of life grow up to treasure those exact values?

Abusing children is one of the most destructive things one can do; and it would be quite uncomprehensible HOW ON EARTH people could even go to those dark places if it weren't for countless other examples of menkind's idiocity, arrogance and decay. While there are always individuals with their head set on straight our race as a whole is in a devastated condition; and if we survive another millenium it won't be our credit to take.

hey i was just looking at this shot (cos I featured it) and I think the last finishing touch is needed... u should frame it!

πŸ‘: 0 ⏩: 1

dareme In reply to CatchMe-22 [2007-01-12 06:24:15 +0000 UTC]

Awww, here we go - long delay, but I've finally made it to this comment.

First things first, THANX a lot for the feature.

Secondly: The frame. Why would you frame it? How would it be different, why would it be better? Convince me.

πŸ‘: 0 ⏩: 1

CatchMe-22 In reply to dareme [2007-01-15 00:38:18 +0000 UTC]

Hehe ur right... I always said one shouldn't overdo the frame and I still stand by that... A nice frame makes the piece look polished and draws the eyes to the piece itself and enables better focus, and that should be its only purpose... to frame. It shouldn't be PART of the piece and I really dislike all those flashy frames... faded, uneven edges, etc etc

How am I doing for the convincing part?

barninga [2006-11-03 11:13:54 +0000 UTC]

you captured a very intense moment here, they could be caught while making love if the context was different. even the overexposed area of the floor works fine, since it enhances the sensual silhouette of the woman. fading the background was a good idea too... i wonder how would have been blurring it also, maybe this would have added some depth of field and enhanced the dancers even more.
