anyways here is Amaterasu from Okami. She looks a bit sad hey? probably cause shes got her work cut out for her in saving the world and all

Im still attempting/experimenting new styles. I like the tattoo style allot
Its actually not as hard as i thought it would be, just gotta get the pose and anatomy right, then add in a few details and tada !!! *magical sounds*

As you can plainly see i suck at wolf heads and fluffy tails! I can get the rest pretty fine but the heads turn out funny, and the tail looks flat

References; i totally have a wolf reference but i cant find the link lol. I also looked at some *WildSpiritWolf 's work and how she dose her tatoos. Its amazing what you can learn from looking =]

Okami is a ps2 game and now Wii, Amaterasu is the main character of the game based in a old style Japanese world. She/He is presented as a white wolf which uses holy instruments like a; Disk, Sword and Rosaries that float above its back held by fire. Her main goal is of course to save the world from the clutches of evil.

Artists have taken the style of the game and manipulated it to become what it is now.
If you notice by looking at few examples below that in the style of okami that it is very common for almost random ribbons around the main character.
