Go ahead and tattle! I've got my own copy of the book, so I'm not scared!
(I actually do; I found it in the cult section of a Half-Price Books near my house. I STILL haven't figured out if it's meant to be tongue-in-cheek, just-for-Lovecraftian-fans-amusement or if it's suppose to be serious.)

Mine's titled Grimoire of the Necronomicon and is by some guy named Donald Tyson. It was first published in 2008. It has praises from different reviewers like a fiction book would have, but the inside listing (on the same page as the years of publication and ISBN number) put it down as magic-handbooks, manuals, etc. Ritual-handbooks, manuals, etc. And lastly occultism-handbooks, manuals, etc. I bought it to use as a reference for any Lovecraftian fanart or fanfiction I may draw/write, but I'm afraid I'll end up unintentionally summoning something if I do (if this book is indeed meant to be taken seriously). If you or anyone else can confirm that mine is a work of fiction and harmless, I would be SO SO SO GREATFUL.

Most of these books are only harmful if your mind allows them to be. I've heard of occultists that consider Lovecraft's characters to be actual deities, but in a belied-is-a-tool kind of way.

Or rather forgot a rabid reindeer behind.

Not just a reindeer - a moose! Those can be quite vicious since they're very territorial. (And Animal Planet strikes again!)

Fun fact - the monster in Johnny The Homicidal Maniac comic book series is called Moose, even though it's not a moose. Mainly because 'moose' sounds funny, but also because it tears through people as if they're made of paper. Also, said monster is imprisoned behind a basement wall which Johnny is required to regularly paint with blood in order to keep the monster from escaping.

A moose would've got through that. Just guessing.
