All of your artwork is SO beautiful... but I love this one! Most people don't know how to draw diffrent faces for the different ethnicities but you've got it down! I love this stuff! Keep it up!

Absolutely magnificent!!!! I'm so happy I found something with the violin in it, I play violin and I think this picture is a beautiful representation of a violinist. I love the colors and the dress. Her hair is extremly pretty too. The detail on the wings is lovely. The mysterious background is stunning. I love your work. Enchanting!

The wings remind me of how Brian Froud, a renowned fantasy artist, draws the wings for his faeries.
The pattern on her skirt is lovely. This is not a very common pattern on fabrics, though I think it can be achieved by painting it onto silk.
What is the significance of the two candles that have just been put out? They have a rather ominous feeling, in my opinion, though some people might say otherwise...

I've been looking through your gallery, and this piece caught my eye, but it seems that a lot of your pieces contain women, standing on that checkered floor. I just wanted to know if there was any significance in that. Other than the floor, I find that this piece tells a story, there's a reason this woman is standing there with a violin. I find myself wanting to know more about her. Stunning detail. Great colours, and background. The background lends a sense of mystery to this piece. Great job. Her expression, and facial features are especially wonderful.

the dress and wings are really wonderfull. the face and facial expression go very well with the mood of the image.
I really enjoy all the detail that went into the background.
I think for composition reasons it would have been better if the left hanging ( the one hanging higher) would not be there but elsewere. maybe a bit lower or directly above the other one. right there I think he draws away from the person (I'm not to sure though).
I think the edges at the bottom of the dress should be sharper, they look smudged.
the neck of the violin looks broken.
maybe the background has too much emphesis for a T-shirt Design? I like it that way but the winner had a pretty simple background with a lot of focus on the main character. Oh and the jury seemed to like it when the character didn't look straight at you ("she seems lost in her own world" they'd say).
well anyway I like it. And I sure wouldn't be ashamed to wear it on a T-shirt

Nice job on the girl Kurtis, she's beautiful. Especially that silky dress. YOu'll make a great fasion designer if you ever buckle down to it. Great wings, and naturally more of those wispy, curly things. You're getting so good with faces, andyou've always been good with hair. I even like the lacy stuff in this one. The violin is off kilter, but the bow is good. It's nice to see you do other backgrounds than woodsy stuff, but come on Kurtis, slow down and take your time with it. Enjoy it, make love to it, do what ever it takes to pay attention to it. The wall is too whispy and the hangings and candles look disconnected with the wall. The floor looks like some sort of alternate dimention and just floating there. It's ok for a floor to be uneven because old places are never even, but it needs to look solid. Loverly details on the candles and holders though. Overall, I give it 1 and 1/2 thumbs up.

I have to say, I think I prefer this to the other one. It feels more finished to me. And I think this is the first indoor piece I've seen you do in a long time - i LOVE the floor, and the walls really look like stone. It seems like the perfect environment for this girl, who is also beautiful btw. I love her wings, and her hair. The dress is lovely too - the flower/vine detail on the skirt is just great.
