What a horrible beast but a beautiful illustration, I love how you manage to gave it such realism. It feels almost like it will ram out of the screen!

Oh Razor having one of his days again, but he might calm down if you offer him a stint as ornament of Notre dame.

A: Its a world in a card game called magic the gathering (MTG) this world is filled with pure death and decay, and thinks that to be a perfect being you must be warped into a hideous monster...they just recently took over mirrodin....(another mtg world) and now mirrodin is called "New Phyrexia".

It may be that I may be misunderstanding it but when I look at your pictures you seem to be using very very few brushes. Am I wrong? Not to say they look bad. I'm merely curious to how many do you usually use in a illustration like this.

DaveAllsop In reply to BastianBalthazarBux [2011-05-07 01:17:23 +0000 UTC]

I typically just use the standard brushes. Occasionally, a drybrush effect brush in the background, but that's it

I suspected they weren't many. And yet amazing paintings! Goes to show..

Love this one. Great choice with the green background and magenta/grey creature. Also, as Mike said, nice movement.
