Oh, anime! I remember, we had Dragon Ball and Sailor Moon back in my time, plus a few others. Anime was a fad back then, but nowdays only a small minority likes it in Hungary. I, personally, prefer Russian cartoons.

The only anime I still like is Candy Candy. Good old 1970's hand-drawn stuff with a touching human story. Humans! Not aliens and monsters and whatnots, just people. That alone is a seller for me.
