I think I can confidently say these are the very first sketches I did in designing Tetsuko (whom I had just conceived Β a few days before. One of the few times I had the foresight to date one of my sketches.Based on the date of this drawing, I'm hereby declaring February 26 is Tetsuko's birthday. (Not necessarily that 1989 was the year of her birth... were that to be true, she'd be 30 years old in about three weeks, and I'm thinking she was 20 when she was injected with Sonya's formula, and she'd be about 25 when Kaijuu Fighter Tetsuko begins, which would be about six or seven months after Tetsuko's Odyssey.)
She's sure changed over the years, hasn't she?

You said it! When I first started drawing her, women's bodybuilding had just begun, and most of the competitors weren't even as muscular as today's "fitness" contestants. And I was a little timid about drawing "too-big" muscles on art I thought I'd eventually display in public. (But as you've seen, I got braver about it

Oh I know what you mean. I actually started to realize I loved female muscle when I first saw Cory Everson. Then over time I got bolder and today I really love the bigger side of the spectrum
I still really love the old athletic look of the 90s, like with Shonna McCarver for example.
I do love how big Tet-chan got today
