Well my friends, we’ve made it. Today’s Halloween, and what could be more fitting to end our expedition with the Sasabonsam. Native to West Africa, mainly Ghana, Togo, and Côte d’Ivoire, this fearsome vampire man-bat has iron claws, horns, and teeth that can easily tear flesh off its prey. There’s a subspecies called the Asanbonsam, they just look like people except for the iron teeth and hooks for feet to hang off tree branches. Even the Adze fear them because they’re that powerful, even the word “bonsam” means “devil” in Akan. Happy Halloween everyone, and thank you for coming along on this journey with me. Be
