Tools: HB pencil • Pan Pastels (ultra-tender) • Soft Pastel sticks • White chalk • Hard PITT charcoal pencil • Q-tips • blending stumps • Pencil and stick erasers.
Done on Pastellmalerei dark beige rough paper (75 lbs, size A4).

My submission for ''Blossoming''-TRADitional art CONtest'' www.deviantart.com/georgexvii/… by Traditionalists group. I had the idea for some time but not so clear. But when I read about the competition, I got motivated to draw it and I decided to make it in colors and use pan pastels and it was for the first time in an imaginary portrait (I usually do those in black and white which is my comfort zone). Shading and layers where completely different and challenging. But truly enjoyable. I miss the adrenaline rush from my job from challenging experiments and solving puzzles and this definitely brought this element back to me.
