Heheh... Yeah, the idea is that while Thomas is willing to help anyone do any thing, one of the only things that will drive him entirely crazy is when someone tries to take his food. Though his sister is still openly antagonistic and will take it anyway. I really liked doing the yelling back-and-forth between these two, especially Dinah's threat to grind up Thomas's bones and sell them. Actually a pretty dark joke; there's a reason your brother's species is endangered.
But yeah, Sonny clearly has a problem with this kind of intense arguing and it's escalating into a panic attack. You'll need to see the Patreon page for where this story goes if you're curious right off the bat. ^^
Check out or if you like our comic work, by the way. ^^
Martin's Comments: Yeah, this is kind of a thing with Sonny that'll probably take awhile to fully explore, but he has serious problems with conflict. One thing I do find pretty important with Sonny is to try and emphasize him as a character with his own problems and not just a plot device for how he relates to Thomas and Wendy; probably be a bit before the focus is entirely on him with it but I do think this page and the fallout of it is a good step forward on that. Like Adam said, you can read ahead a bit on Patreon now if you're eager for more.
This page was actually edited pretty last minute - we were running late on drawing it so had to shade it last minute before the DA submission, and in doing that I also added some new stuff we've been doing in regard to backgrounds since this one was done. Something I find interesting with Daylight page is how much the art progresses on it from page to page, the more restrained rate at which we pump out pages on it I feel like makes artwork progression particularly obvious. The way Thomas has grown more and more tiger-like as we've gone along I think is a good demonstration of that.
