Description Been wanting to do a fanart of Clock Tower: The First Fear for a while, and since you guys voted for it in my 'pick a game' journal, I finally got around to doing something.

I used the likeness of Jennifer Connelly, as that's who the main character is based off of, as well as the movies she starred in. More specifically the horror films of italian director, Dario Argento.

Clock Tower was a game ahead of its time on the SNES and is far creepier in atmosphere than modern titles. The game revolves around the orphan Jennifer and her friends as they are adopted by the Barrows family. The Barrows household isn't what it seems to be and Jennifer is forced to survive the terrors that await, including the owner's monster of a son, Bobby, who wields a giant pair of scissors.

It really was. There was a game called Clock Tower: Remothered being made, but it's either stuck in gaming limbo or canned all together. It looked really good.

I heard about that, from what I can remember, it's still being worked on, but to what extent, I don't know. Looked interesting to say the least!

Well, from what I read they cancelled the original look and are making it 3D or something. That's unfortunate to me, because the 2D art style looked beautiful.

This is just gorgeous! O_O I've never seen such detailed fanart for a game series as niche as Clock Tower. I'm so happy to see this game get the recognition it deserves! Great job!

Indeed! This game has aged surprisingly well! It's such a pity that there aren't that many modern horror games like this. Just the atmosphere and the ideas behind the story are what really made it creepy for me.

It has aged very well, still looks great, and I find it so much more unnerving and scary than any new title. Definitely a flagship title for the survival horror genre.

Wow the face is nothing short of exquisite! The background I love too.

I have one critique, and I hope you don't mind me voicing it...my question is, it seems the camera angle on her face (straight shot) and the angle of the bg (up shot) don't seem to match?

I think it is a fabulous piece and I still am so amazed at how stunning this pic is!

No problem at all, I was aiming to put the background in 3point perspective, looking up at it, as if Jennifer (the subject) is almost right underneath the floor that scissorman is on, while she is looking slightly down.

Awesome work! A huge fan of the original two games.
An I really like what you did here. The shading, coloring,
I barely saw Bobby when I first saw this. An basing Jennifer off of Connelly was a very nice touch for the real. Of course when the "First Fear" game came out, I'm pretty sure Connelly would have been type casted for the part. If there would have been an actual movie, based on the actual series.

Thanks man! As in the description, you should look at the films of Dario Argento. Not my favorite movies, but you can see how Clock Tower got its look and characters from them. Jennifer Connelly was often in his movies.

It'd be great to see a movie based on TFF, more specifically, I'd love to see an animated one.
