Description I'd written a video game based on group of archeologists, geologist, biologists, and botonists who traveled to alien planets documenting the life forms on each one. It takes place in the year 3020. Sponsored by a twin corporation who manufactures warp drives and high quality deep space vehicles. This small group of 130 scientists jump from planet to planet around the local galaxy and catalog all the species in an attempt to produce encylopedias of information for each planet to create an Encyclopedia Galaxia. This project would cost billions but perhaps generate trillions of dollars in future years. It would bring a boom in private space exploration and a new tourist industry. People would be able to go on cheap and safe safaries on other worlds observing the plant and animal life.

Jun is one of the scientists. He used to make a living in the unified militia* as a mobile infantry peace keeping officer. Now he works for the twin corporation as a zoologist. He has one of the more exciting jobs of the whole group since he gets to dawn a suit and set foot to ground on the planet and take samples of animal life, observe behavior, document images, sounds, and smells for interactive virtual entertainment systems, and come up with anything that could be marketable. For the most part however, he is a scientist.

On one planet called "Dekrea", the team was doing standard documentary procedures, observing alien life forms, taking samples, and doing geological surveys, when suddenly the team was attacked by a highly intelligent aniplant. This half plant half animal was able to go without being detected about the planet while it was speckled with scientists doing reports on the alien life forms. It was incredibly strong and had an advantage since the team of scientists could not know how intelligent the beings were. These aniplants destroyed much of the equipment and life support systems, stranding many of the scientists on the alien world. One small group was able to escape. The team crippled, had to fend for themselves and live on the hostile alien world. The Planet Dekrea was mostly inhabited by plant and aniplant life forms. The Scientists can't know what is intelligent or animate and what was just a regular alien tree. The intelligence gathered by probes was too insufficient and they were tricked by the native life forms. Jun is stranded on a group of tropical islands with five other scientists and must gather with the other scientists on that world in order to survive and be rescued. Fortunately, the scientists have high quality space suits that boost the wearer's intellligence, reaction time, strength, speed, and agility. They are also heavily armored and have some basic forms of deffense of offense. Jun is the most experienced in combat and his mind is hard wired for battlefield survival. He has to lead his team through the swamps and discover a very alarming secret about the life forms on that world. He also has to put together how they can be safe from the native life forms that are incredibly hostile, powerful, and cunning. What may seem like a harmless puddle could be home to billions of microbial furociouse meat eating shrimp, or what may seem like an innocent tree could actually be a massive and powerful highly aggresive beast that would tear a man limb from limb if given the chance.

I imagined the game play would be half analysis of the environment in a scientific manner trying to figure out how to keep the characters alive and half combat action with lots of grusome alien plant monsters. I figured a lot of these scenarios in the game would have to be highly plausable, including the biology and evolutionary linearity of the organisms. There's also the geological aspects, since Dekrea is almost the exact same size of earth but has a very large moon, it has a lot of geological activity. Also, there oceans are so shallow across most of the planet's surface, that the biggest ocean is only as big as the mediteranean sea on earth. This Provides for some interesting terrains that would otherwise be hidden by huge oceans. The "island" that Jun's team is stranded on is actually the rim of a craetor in the middle of a large pond created by an asteroid impact. The island also has a species of very massive sized trees. Similar to the trees on earth except very wide and incredibly tall. The atmosphere is far more dense with oxygen, so much so that the plant life has to grow very high in the atmosphere to reach prime sunlight exposure. The scientists have to climb to the top of on of these trees at one point in order to establish communication since there is so much interference from cloud cover and smoke. The high oxygen content of the atmosphere makes for very large and uncontrollable fires. Some plant life has evolved fire-hose-like organs that can aim at fires and jet out fluid that smothers the fires. Other plants have evolved to pull up their roots and run or fly away. Some planets have evolved to become resistant to tempretures that would ordinarily cook any other organism. Some plants have even evolved rudementary intelligence with their new mobilized abilities and have began using simple tools and language.

These aniplants are primarily sun loving, water drinking, plant eating, highly aggresive, highly intelligent organisms and are capable of things some earlier species of humans were capable of. Learning from experience and teaching others. These plants know about the human invaders and believe they are spirits sent from the demon world to bring death and destruction. In some ways they are right. There is one other secret that Jun must find out before he meets the rest of his crew. Along his travel, he is finding more and more evidence from the intelligent aniplants that someone else had come to their world before. Not humans but a different species of alien. These aliens had scared the aniplant's history by attempting to enslave their species for manual labor.

It is common knowledge throughout the universe that artificial intelligence is notoriously difficult to spawn from a constructed neural network. And nano robotic technology is just too dangerouse for anyone to attempt to create, so the next best thing would be to have a dosile, obedient, house broken, genetically altered subspecies of the already intelligent being to use as slave labor. But there was a species of crustaceans that found it would be far more easier and beneficial to enslave another alien intelligence that is still in it's stone-age stages of evolution and program them for servitude. The humans of earth want only to establish peace, prosperity, community, and capitalism throughout the universe, well most of them anyway. The humans wouldn't enslave them, but the aniplants have it in their minds that they are in danger of being enslaved again and want to wipe out the human invaders.

Jun and his crew must attempt to traverse thousands of kilometers across the face of Dekrea and contact the rest of the team. Along the way he discovers that the trip can be made by harvesting a plant life form that grows tiny hard bubbles of oxygen that are much less dense than the outter atmosphere. These plants float instead of grow from the planet's surface and drifts from location to location looking for water sources and rich top soil. It keeps top soil inside of a stomach-like structure inside of its body which is consumed through a mouth on the end of a long throat that reaches down to the ground from the sky. It also absorbs water this way. Jun is able to move acorss the planet much fast on the top of these plants. He and his crew can manipulate the wind sails of the plant to fly in the desired direction. However, the intelligence aniplants have also domesticated these aerotrees and use them to move around their world. Jun and his team are attacked by the aniplants.
