I finished the boots today. They started out as beautiful black Victorian-style boots. I bought them on eBay for £10. They had been re-heeled and soled so, a bargain already!!I wiped them with de-greasant to remove polish, then sprayed with acid etch primer and a light coat of gold 'alloy-wheel' paint.
When they were dry I cut out paper templates of the boot shapes and then used a scrap of black lace to cover them.
The heart on the toe is a scrap of faux leather.
The glue I used is a spray on upholstery glue, very sticky and strong.
