what some guys dont understand is we're not digging for compliments. we're not being conceited. we just dont FEEL beautiful and when they tell us we are we have that brief flash of "Maybe i AM good enough, pretty enough."

My boyfriend does this to me. The trouble is that I'm thicker than a whale omelette, and anything more subtle than a brick to the head is lost on me. So, I miss his intentions and get frustrated when he does this to me.
