The most faved thing in my gallery is a stupid picture of a kiwi. I wish it was the Jedi fanart I drew of my roommate, which I'm the most proud of.

On DA? Somebody just posted an "art" with just a dot in it (1 pixel!) and it got 2 positive critiques and a bunch of faves. People are just stupid. Do your thing, learn and improve, be happy about yourself and your talents and don't worry about people.

I used to get comments all the time on my stuff.
Now, no one seems to care any more.
Just thought I'd rant a little.
I would so check your gallery out. I love faving stuff

I'm not a great artist myself, I kind of never load something up lol.
I'm here for the browsing though atm I'm only hear to read on DAS.
But I still sometimes check some accounts (from ppl with interesting replies for example), and I *do* browse their galleries even if you can't see that (except you got a new llama, that's my "been there, seen that" 
Back to topic, I think you should try what others already said, join a critiques club, I don't think they'll bite if you want a critique on something 'not-so-good'. They're there for that, and they'll take time to be constructive

MY most faved it a demotivational i made, i get like 3 faves a day from it and no comments, no faves on other things, i wish just once someone would look at my gallery! i know how you feel ST

Also, if you find groups that feature the kind of art you most often work with, you can leave messages on the main board asking for people who would like to swap critiques. That one's worked for me at times.

I understand, ST. My most favorited deviation is a stamp, and while it's about something a care about a lot, I feel quite cheated.
Maybe you could put that picture in storage, and get favorites for things in your gallery that deserve it more.

I know what you mean, really I do. I may not be a 'great artist that you look up to', but I would love to go through your gallery and offer some constructive criticism, although I admit I haven't been doing nearly enough of it lately.
Since this is a secret you probably won't take up on my offer, but if you note me your DA I will happily go through your gallery for you and comment on some of it.

Well, actually I'd recommend you to go after the constructive comments and stuff then, if you want them. There's a lot of groups and individuals who will surely do it... And about the amazing people you look up to, so be friends with them!
by the way, if you are a manga/anime artist, I'll be more than pleased to critique your work. THAT I can do well.;D

I now how you feel. I did a few SHINee macros and they get faves all the time. I only added text to a print screen and it's my most faved/veiwed/commented pic... it took me five minutes to make and it's so dumb.

I have an icon that says "lesbo licks" and has a little bit of text art
... It's my most looked at/ commented on/ favourited piece.

I had the same problem with a sort of demotivational poster of Edward Cullen I did for fun a while back, so I deleted it. I definitely understand where you're coming from; it seems like the very few people who ever take the time to stop and leave a message offer nothing useful.

I know how frustrating it can be not to get constructive comments. I recommend taking a look at #ProjectComment - they keep a list of "commenters" who'll be happy to comment on some of your work. You just need to drop 'em a note. Or feel free to drop me a note, I'll be happy to take a look through your gallery and give you some comments.

Perhaps you could ask for critique in a more direct manner? Just don't be angry about it, that would only drive people away.

My friends all get mad at me for my comments, because I'm too harsh apparently. >.< So I'm not commenting anymore unless they ask for it. What I hate is when you do ask for help with something and your friends are like "I like it" because is so helpful.
