Maybe because even if you believe that you still want to feel attractive and you have the same problem most people have in that area?
I believe who someone is much more important than what they look like but I still wish I were prettier and just a bit skinnier, especially since I was recently barely overweight myself.

OOh i know this.. not using your own advice.. I had to tell my oh-so-beautifull girlfriend how pretty she was al the time.. and she didn't believe so.. I knew I was speaking the truth.. but I didn't believe her when she said the exact same thing about me..

i feel that way. i love who i am inside but when i look in the mirror, see a photo of me that someone took at a bad moment or just hear my somewhat 'fat' voice .. i just cringe. i know i am pretty lucky for what looks i do have but i still feel like this blimp. im hoping to change that external part of me.

Yeah, it is, but it makes me feel better to know that you can look at other people and not care how they look, which means that people must do the same to you. :> You don't talk about what other people think here, but I hope that it makes you feel better, if only a little.
