they are one of the few owls that are curious obout man and will actually fly closer to get a better look at us two legged critters ... great shot Don

They are pretty rare around the lower 48, so I don't
know much about them. He seemed pretty unafraid.
But he has a name amoung n-mn photogrphers little max.
So I guess he's around a lot.
