Horned lark.. many people call these guys snow birds.They are along side gravel roads this time of year. Usually they won't let you get close enough to get their picture.

Beautiful shot.. I know what you mean, I had a flock of these in the back field last week and I couldn't get within 100 yards of them before the would flush and fly off...and I was in camo
