The son of alicorn princess Twilight Sparkle and General Tempest Shadow, Poetic Justice is their first born - his fate almost already decided when he was born. A powerful unicorn, Justice is well deserving of his mother's name in terms of magic and power. He is wickedly smart, having studied pony law and being a natural born genius with the side of determined motivation. He wanted to be the best and he was. Who wouldn't expect the first born of the ever famous and loved Twilight Sparkle to be like her and to be one of the best? But... due to this...Poet has tons of baggage he needs to unpack, but he hides it well. The art of illusion and 'faking it till you make it' comes easily to him.
The stallion tends to be full of blue blooded prestige. He oozes authority, thanks to his mother Tempest Shadow, and many ponies listen to what he has to say. They hang on his words like bees to honey and sometimes want to hear him more, want to feel his presence and want to be the ones who were directly spoken to by him. He is a prince and ponies would die for him. He commands respect and expects it. His tongue can be sharp and he does let an insult slip once in awhile, which he wants to make happen less.
He is certain of his future as a prince and - maybe even the first king of Equestria in centuries. He is the hero of his own story and strives to write it in his own accord. But right now he is content being one of the best lawyers around.
Relationships:
Twilight Sparkle: Poet mostly gets along with his mother, though they have their differences. She thinks he can be a bit too aggressive and assertive, and he thinks she can be too soft and nice. What they believe in what makes a leader is different which they are fine with, but his mother never forgets to remind him that kindness and love can go a long way.
Tempest Shadow: Admitting that your respect one parent over the other can be hard for some ponies. Not many like thinking that they may even love parent over the other more, which is Poet's case. He has been more attached to his mom more than his mother and found her more of a role model. Maybe because she birthed him and was the first to hold him in her hooves. Though he still has always saw both his moms as respectful and "cool" ponies. Tempest adores her sugar plum and loved nothing more than to embarrass Poet in front of her soldiers. She trained him personally and shaped him into the stallion he is, physically and emotionally wise.
Hijack: His "cousin", as he says with a hint of sarcasm. Draconequus rub him the wrong way and that includes Hijack, though he tried being her friend in the past. He can't help associate her with her father, whom he dislikes immensely. Sometimes he feels guilt over lumping her with the sins of her father but then she does...draconequus stuff and he is reminded why he is wary of her. Though she is the lesser evil of Discord's children. Poet does try to be polite and cordial with her. Maybe one day they can talk and sort their ailments without Hijack turning his hooves in fish heads.
Discord: Encourages his daughters to harass and bother his subjects, which makes Poet angry and annoyed. He feels like he can't lead with the draconequus around.
Morning Harvest: His childhood friend, Morning is the first son of Fluttershy and Applejack. Poet loves him like a brother and would lay his life for him. They are very different ponies and usually Poet prefers the friendship of mares, but Morning just...is right. He is soft and gentle, and the way he treats Poet is a breath air. Morning knows Poet is a prince and treats him with respect but also like a pony who is normal instead of the fake bullshit Poet is met with everyday. I guess you can say that this earth pony taught the unicorn a few things about humbleness and respecting things around him.
Johnny Gold: A big pain in the flank. He is Morning's youngest brother and is as full of life and charm as a son of Applejack could be. He overshadows his older brother in almost everything, especially apple bucking and taking on the family business and career so Poet feels sympathy for his best friend in that he feels less than, though he himself may not understand 100%. He is also a huge, unapologetic flirt, which gets on Poet's nerves like crazy.
Cadence and Shining Armor: Cadence is the aunt that doted on her first nephew and Poet was sometimes baby sat by Flurry Heart. She loved dressing him up and buying him all sorts of toys. They sort of grew apart due to personality differences (Poet can only handle her in small doses, despite her being built of Love. He seems to be immune to that type of idle magic...). Shiny Armor is a role model and always has been for him. The stallion actually wanted to be a soldier when he grew up and that was one of the reasons he took up working out and learning how to use weapons. Shining is an important staple of Poet's life.

Annooothhherrr. This time with my main boi Poetic Justice who had a HUGE overhaul too. Not only did his parentage change but his colors did too. I diiid like the old colors but since one of his parents changed he needed to too. His...colors were kind of muted and he blended together with everyone else. I didn't like that.
but hoo...yeah. I always struggled with Poet, I think. He's the main character, sorta (the universe was always called Poetverse lol) but was always hard to...write. Before he didn't get along with Twilight, which I thought was kind of...par to the course after awhile. Tons of Twilight kids don't get along with her and I wanted to change that. I made him more nice, though he still retained that uptight snobbery that can come out sometimes. I didn't like how prickly and mean he was last time. So I made him more approachable and easier to sympathize with.
And look! A cutie mark, something I was bad at before. It's not done all the way but hopefully it will be soon. Old design is here :
