Ahh, Kouji... It's been such a while since I've last drawn you, back when I was young and clueless...Yes, folks, my love for Kouji and for Digimon Frontier in general resurfaced after many years, not just because a lot of Pretty Cure fans on Tumblr seem to be getting into the Digimon franchise, but also because the first five Chosen Children wield the same elemental powers as the Smile Pretty Cures -- and this is why I started shipping Kouji/Miyuki. I think that, if they ever met, they'd complement each other nicely, what with Kouji being a bad boy lone wolf and Miyuki being a happy-go-lucky social butterfly. She'd become quite attached to him and would try to make him smile at all times, and while he'd be annoyed by this at first, he'd probably get used to it and grow more fond of her.
I've gotten quite a few complaints when I first mentioned the ship on Tumblr. Things such as "if they never met it's a crackship" and "this manages to be even more cracky than Wolfrun/Miyuki, and Wolfrun/Miyuki was already pretty cracky to begin with".
From personal experience within both the Cartoon X-overs crew in Fanfiction.net and the Disney crossover video makers in Youtube, I know there is a fine line between crossover and crack: not every crack ship is a crossover ship, and not every crossover ship is a crack ship. Some crossover ships can work if the characters involved have something in common, even if they never really met. A ship can be only considered crack if it's something really bizarre or farfetched; crossover examples include Bowser/Namine and Li Shaoran/Lilo (no, really, there's people who ship these), while canon examples include Rima/Utau from Shugo Chara. Also, the fact that the characters never met is the fun part of crossover ships: you can always imagine what would happen if they did meet, and you'll never have to worry about them becoming canon because they never will, so you're free to keep your creative juices flowing.
TL;DR, even though it's never gonna happen, I'm gonna keep shipping this. I never stopped you guys from shipping anything, so why should you stop me?
Also, I know Kouji would probably be 21 by now since it's been a decade since Frontier aired, but in the Pretty Cure All Stars movies and that one episode of Digimon Xros Wars (which Takuya was in) the past characters never aged so that shouldn't really matter.

Works against you since on Tumblr you looked down on people for shipping Wolfrun and Miyuki. :/ Also, those quotes you put weren't complaints, they were things to prove you were in the wrong for looking down on people.

Hi yeah, not the person you're replying to but wow, when was I ever complaining??? I simply asked why on earth you'd ship a crossover pairing - where the characters would never EVER meet outside fanfic - because it didn't make sense to me! Because that takes the fun out of shipping for me, so I wanted to hear someone else's view on it. I only offered the crackship definition because that's how it's defined on the internet and because hell, Wolfyuki is just as much of a crack pairing (READ: a pairing that will never happen in canon) as Miyuki/Kouji is??? (And re the knight in shining armor thing: this is something I think you should read. The reblogs too.)
Also, it's just plain hypocritical to go THIS PAIRING IS THE WORST PAIRING EW IT CREEPS ME OUT SO MUCH but then go "Oh but I respect the people that ship it!" Like WOW that is so two-faced and awful. If you want honest to god respect, you have to give it first! Respecting people's ships also means not talking crap about them, you know.

Well, I happen to have more crossover ships than canon, because it's really hard for me to actually ship a canon pairing. I only actually ship canon ships when I find the chemistry between them cute or interesting (Aiko/Momoko, Syrup/Urara, Sosuke/Miu, Ban/Nanami). There are canon ships I like but not as much such as Nuts/Komachi, which I don't have any strong feelings about but support it just to go with the flow.
Like I said before, the thing with the characters never meeting is the fun part of crossover shipping. You don't have to worry about whether they'll become canon or not because they never will, thus you're free to daydream and make fanworks.
The knight in shining armor thing... It makes sense, actually. It's like Merida from Brave who was more interested on freedom and adventure than romance. In Miyuki's case, even though she has a crush, it's a minor interest and she is more interested in friendship and seeing others smile. Though I still think Miyuki would be pretty amazed by Wolfmon.
And about the respect thing... We all have different opinions about certain subjects, right? I don't like pedophilia at all, but if there are people out there cool with the idea of an adult anthro wolf getting together with a middle school student, then I shouldn't get in their way, otherwise I'd be acting in a ridiculously intolerant way. Same thing with My Little Pony: Friendship is Magic; while I despise the show with all my heart, I have several friends who are fans of it and I let them be. Having an opinion on something does not actually mean having the same opinion towards its fanbase.
For some reason I feel that this whole thing would have never happened if I hadn't mentioned the Wolfrun/Miyuki ship to begin with...

I think it's a cute coss over couple idea and you do have a point with the other 'weird' cross over pairings as well.
