Africa has been a lost world for decides, it began in Egypt in 1910 with Ernst Stromer when he began expedition in Egypt to find fossils, among the fossilized bones, one of the had neutral spines 6 1/2 feet tall, the fragmented skull was crocodile like, and he presumed it to be bigger than Tyrannosaurus, now lets go back to Prehistoric Egypt.

A herd of Ouranosaurus grazes at the bank of a river, one of them is on look out, and spots a huge predator, and gets the herd on high alert, the predator is the biggest carnivore ever known: Spinosaurus( we'll call this one Pharaoh). For the time being, Ouranosaurus is off the menu

Pharaoh, and a nearby Suchomimus are ichthyophagi, fish eaters both feed on Onchopristis and other fish, which the scavenger Rugops takes the scraps both species left, and the larger Kryptops also takes to scavenging, but Krytops is also a hunter, but he prefers not to, Stomatosuchus also hunt the rivers waiting patiently for a fish to enter its jaws. In the plains Spinosaurus isn't the only large carnivore around, Carcharodontosaurus dominates the plains, hunting dinosaurs like Paralititan, Aegyptosaurus, Nigerosaurus and Ouranosaurus, but this Carcharodontosaurus isn't looking for food, he looking for a mate, which he does, and to prove his will he brings a gift: a dead Ouranosaurus he killed himself.

In the rivers, Pharaoh is crossing the river, but smaller crocodiles are the least of his problems, Sacrosuchus is the king of the rivers, and thankfully gets out before he can make his move, Pharaoh is content with the waters where they are, Kaprosuchus also dwell in the rivers but their not the top carnivores in the river.

Later a drought hits, and Pharaoh is searching for food, and find as a Deltadromeus, he fails to kill it, thanks to its speed Deltadromeus can out pace other predators. But there is another source of food: a fallen Paralititan died from thirst, makes a perfect meal, but the Carcharo pair found the corpse and tensions rise, Pharaoh assures his dominance on the corpse, the male Carcharodontosaurus is far more lethal and the female joins in, and Pharaoh is forced to retreat, but his wounds are too great, starvation is killing him, and he succumbs to his wounds a great Egyptian dinosaur has fallen.

I'd replace Ouranosaurus with an unnamed ornithopod, Rugops and Kryptops with an unnamed abelisaurid, Sarcosuchus with the unnamed giant longistrine crocodylomorph, Nigersaurus with Rebbachisaurus, Kaprosuchus with Araripesuchus, and Suchomimus with Sigilmassasaurus.

Oh, by the way, Suchomimus went extinct long before Carcharodontosaurus evolved

Home of the biggest land predator of all time.

I like the name you gave the Spinosaurus. Maybe you could name the Carcharo male "Rameses."

Eeyup, and Africa was the last stronghold of the spinosaurs and the swamps they required were lost

Spinosaurus and its kin cannot adapt with the change, and became extinct, as for the other Northern African dinosaurs, giant sauropods became extinct and Carcharodontosaurus followed

The same happened in South America. When these changes occurred, Irritator could not adapt and disappeared. When Argentinosaurus disappeared, so did Mapusaurus.

And these events were some how connected, but life finds the way, and the story will continue with a new cast, and the story of these animals will continue soon, and from the most iconic species ever, starting with a Mongolian raptor: Velociraptor

The REAL Velociraptor, turkey sized animal, but we got a long way before we get to Velociraptor, we go back to South America to see the descendants of the former giants of South America

Saltasaurus

I know it's really smaller than in the movie.

Fair enough.
