Planet Earth 65 million years ago, it is the end of the Cretaceous, and the continents are taking on their modern form, and the dinosaurs will make one last stand.

A herd of Triceratops is on the move, and they stop to grazing and a small group of Ankylosaurus joins them, and an Alamosaurus one of the last of the sauropods feeds alongside them, Dromaeosaurus and Troodon are still around, Pachycephalosaurus dwell in the highlands, Edmontosaurus browse on the trees and Quetzalcoatalus soars the skies, but all of them fear a mighty predator.

A Dromaeosaurus has picked up the scent of an old enemy, a pair of juvenile tyrannosaurs about the same size, but before the Dromaeosaurus could attack the earth shakes, something big is coming, and its the most legendary of the all the dinosaurs: Tyrannosaurus Rex. This female is the mother of the young Tyrannosaurus, and before the Dromaeosaurus could escape the male attacks the Dromaeosaurus killing him, but left the carcass as a warning to other raptors.

16 years later and our T-rex are now old enough to fend for themselves and the male (we'll call Tiranno) has found a mate, months later and she has laid eggs ready to hatch, Tiranno will keep an eye on the eggs until they hatch, while his mate hunts.

She found a wounded Triceratops, but she didn't kill it, it stabs her in the eye as the horn breaks, Tiranno guides her back to the nest, with one eye its impossible to hunt, unless you ambush. Only 3 out of all the eggs hatch, but something incredible happen, the 4th egg hatches.

Tiranno brings down a Triceratops which he brings back to the nest, but however Tiranno's hatchlings are among the last dinosaurs to be born...........

In space a meteor the size of Mt Everest crashes into the Gulf of Mexico causing the Great Extinction, the mountain nearby erupted and forest fires started and fragments of the meteor fall from the sky.

4 months after the meteor hit, the dinosaurs are weaken, a Triceratops herd searches aimlessly for food, an Alamosaurus collapses and succumbs to stravtion, a Quetzalcoatalus lands and feeds, but this surplus is an illusion, once the meat is gone, predators will starve..... or go to desperate measures.

Tiranno is being hunted, by Dromaeosaurus, they turned the tables on the top predator, and he succumbs to their wrath............ but life finds a way..... after the Great Extinction the dinosaurs had another branch: Birds. But they won't be the dominate life form of Earth, the mammals will take the place of the dinosaurs............. but we still live in the shadow of the most legendary of all animals: the Dinosaurs

I'd replace Troodon with Paronychodon or Anzu, Dromaeosaurs with Acheroraptor or Dakotaraptor, and get rid of Alamosaurus completely.

However, one branch of dinosaurs did survive extinction. In fact, they're all around us today.
