continue!
Often the ones I am absolutely unsure and think I ruined it, turn out one of the best...

Not to say she isn't lovely, but I'm going to go with Move on. It's difficult to feel stuck on a drawing that you have in question. If you're seeking approval then there's something about it that just doesn't settle well. Give it some time. Put it away and move to the next project. Perhaps you'll pick it up later.

Since you asked- it looks as if the left (her right) eye might be a bit far over. Try looking at the drawing in a mirror, I think that would help. But honestly, if you hadn't said you were unsure about this drawing, I wouldn't have thought anything was wrong with it. I say keep going!

yeah, I'll keep on going. I worked a bit on her left eye, my girlfriend told me the same, straightened out her cheek, and I will go on...

Perhaps the right jaw line is not quite tapered enough, but I certainly think that you can salvage this drawing. Love the eyes.

All I would do to this is -bring in- the lower left side of her jaw and maybe reshape the cheek on the left......Man, This sort of thing happens to ME all the time. Many drawings I have abandoned when all it needed was a simple revision.

thanks Pat. I did work on her cheek a bit, and now it seems better... and maybe after I have drawn some hair and surroundings it will even look better

I think its an interesting face..... a bit darker with less tonal range then you usually do. The question is do you like it? If you do, then i say keep going. If you aren't happy, then start over. worked for me

DiRi In reply to NicoleBrune [2012-01-14 09:33:25 +0000 UTC]
is it really darker? Tanja said the same, but I think it's about the same as my others...
Well, I worked some more on her cheek and her eyes, and I will go on. Problem is/was that I was very happy about her eyes, but am/was unsure about her cheek and nose
