Description
After the death of the talented actor Brian Murray, who brought our dear John Silver to life with his voice, this image kept coming to my head. So I quickly drew it out and colored it in under a few hours today.I was just thinking of when a couple is in mourning or grief of a lost one. I think I saw this in a movie or show, I can't remember, but I found it touching. They just lie together in bed, not saying a word, nor moving a muscle. Just listening to the beating of each others broken heart and breathing. He would simply stroke her hair and let the time just pass by. They don't even answer a phone or anything. They just lie there in bed not saying anything but thinking and mourning together.
I sort of felt this way the night I heard the bad news of the loss of Brian Murray. I just laid there in bed with my John Silver plush in my arms and hugged him tightly trying my hardest not to cry because even though Brian Murray is gone, John Silver is still with us. All Disney characters are immortalized and can never leave our sides.
This is just a moment to share with all the other fans of John Silver. This is not a moment that will occur in my story.
Rest in Peace Mr. Murray. And thank you a million times for giving us one of the greatest Disney characters there ever will be.

I absolutely love this piece. You've captured Marina's grief- and, by extension, yours- perfectly in her expression and body language. Nicely done.

There's just something the way Brian said that little speech of encouragement about "you got the makings of greatness in you" and "I hope one day I'll be there catching the rays off you sails" that spoke out the loudest to me in that whole movie. It does bring a tear to my eye whenever he says that and the fact that we lost a good actor with a silvery voice. Awesome drawing.

(This is a very good drawing, by the way... the way Silver's hand lies in Marina's hair, I think, is somehow the most emotion-tugging detail of all....)

I was devastated to hear of his passing , his character got me through some really rough patches in my life with abusive father. He'll always hold special place in my heart

I know how you feel, I when I heard the news I was Shocked and Saddened! Fact I got a tributing piece coming too! And since I have the Same Birthday as Brian Murray I'll make a personal special piece for then too!
And as my Mom and I say and agree upon, it's one of the most Amazing things about ALL Kinds of Movies Live action and Animated Alike, the Actors and actresses in them are Forever Recorded and their Voices are Forever Preserved!
