Leo and the soccer team are holding a practice match while many fangirls watch from the side, including the girls. The three then scare the other girls by competing to cheer Leo on the loudest. After taking photos of the match, the three girls talk about the upcoming marriage of Shining Armor, a former sport student. Excited, Leo and the others are going to perform at the wedding, Rainbow Sparkle asks where it will be held and is told the location of the wedding hall by Lily. Giddy with excitement, Rainbow Sparkle brags to the girls about her cousin photographing the event. Lily and Calina then call Rainbow's cousin getting permission to attend the wedding, upsetting Rainbow Sparkle.

On the day of the wedding, Rainbow Sparkle is seen carrying camera equipment along with her cousin. Lily and Calina arrive late, wearing fashionable attire. This upsets her and lamets about being the only one wearing a t-shirt. Her two friends and Rainbow's cousin walk away ignoring her. Rainbow Sparkle is then struck in the face with a soccer ball and falls over. She gets back up finding Shield Wing looking at her and is teased for not watching out for him. She responds by shouting multiple insults to him even after knowing it was an accident. To the likes of Rainbow Sparkle, Leo and the other soccer players come in asking if everything is alright. Shield Wing reassures them and makes sure she’s alright, taking her aback by his concern. Shield asks her why she’s at the wedding, to which she explains that her cousin is working at the reception. He then leaves calling Rainbow Sparkle 'Ms. Skittles', causing her to get mad once more.

At the wedding reception, Shining Armor and his new bride Cadance are introduced. The girls admire the couple and soon get into a fight about being with Leo, interrupting the wedding. Outside the wedding hall, Dark Blue is seen watching the other couples from above. A slideshow featuring pictures of the newlywed couple as children are shown, with the audience applauding them. Shortly after, Leo and the soccer team walk in the room, performing their act. Lily and Calina take Rainbow's cousin's cameras and go to find Leo, with Rainbow Sparkle following behind them. Trying to take pictures of the captain, Shield Wing appears and continues to tease and annoy Rainbow Sparkle. Leo asks Shining Armor if he wants to join in and he happily agrees. Dark Blue is then seen right outside the building and summons Misty Brightdawn to reck havoc.

As Shining Armor joins in with the soccer act, Misty Brightdawn goes inside Cadance’s body. The possessed Cadance starts insulting him and then using her power against her parents. Rainbow Sparkle uses the Rainbow Mirror and reveals Misty's presence. She then spreads her negative energy, making everyone, including Lily and Calina, unconscious. Shield Wing protects Rainbow Sparkle and is able to shield her from the negative blast before being knocked out. Cadance then walks out of the building, and soon Rainbow Sparkle transforms into her wedding dress.

Outside the wedding hall, Cadance continues to use her powers to make the other married couples hate each other. Dark Blue appears and tells Misty he feels the hope and love of the Crystal Heart nearby. Wedding Rainbow comes to confront the two and avoids Misty’s attack. Rainbow uses "Operation: Memory Spell" to make Cadance remember her love for Shining Armor. Misty tries to continue possessing her, to which Rainbow Sparkle transforms into hero mode and uses her Prism Flash. Misty is defeated and flees along with Dark Blue.

Cadance wakes up wondering where Shining Armor is. He comes out of the wedding hall and goes to embrace her. Rainbow Sparkle enters the building and finds everything back to normal. She goes up to Shield Wing nervously and thanks him for saving her. Confused, he questions what she is talking about, to which she realizes he has no recollection of anything that happened. He goes to tease Rainbow Sparkle again, and soon she chases after him in anger. She throws food at him as her cousin captures the moment.
